So you are saying we are trying for someone else after the RB, would of thought a name would have come out by nowNewClaret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 7:26 pmSo I’m pretty sure we’ve not packed up and gone home even after Assignon.
Not sure whether we’ll get another over the line or if it’ll be a LB, but do know we made a massive effort on Oosterwolde so even if we didn’t get one, we have tried very hard.
Finding players of the right quality who want to come here and we can afford is not going to be easy.

Do we really need the fullbacks if we play 3 centre halves ,I suppose it’s who can play left and right of a 5 man midfield.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 8:14 pmSo you are saying we are trying for someone else after the RB, would of thought a name would have come out by now

Yes, I am but I agree - I’d have expected someone to have been linked by now - so I might be wrong/it might not happen.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 8:14 pmSo you are saying we are trying for someone else after the RB, would of thought a name would have come out by now

Re: Lorenz Assignon
Isn't he the one with loan with obligation to buy, if conditions met?
Re: January transfer window rumours.
I don’t get this, should we not all be Trafford fans? Bizarre so called supporters who are anti Trafford fans, won’t even support a 20 year old English keeper playing for us let alone the rest of team.

He turned them down this afternoon I’m led to believe. All business in and out now done as soon as soon as Roberts to Leeds and Assignon are announced.

Sacha Boey, who was coveted by many early in the window, has moved from Galatasary to Bayern Munich for €25m.
That figure suggests we were never in with a prayer. Shame he’s a top RB.

Re: Lorenz Assignon
Interestingly (if you like language) the full name of Rennes is "Stade rennais Football Club" and 'rennais' isn't capitalized as it's adjectival.

Evening Westleigh!
"Rennais" just means "from the town of Rennes".
You add normally add the suffic "-ais" to a noun in French to create an adjective. We could roverize this in English to say, for example, that Turf Moor was "Burnley-ais". I'm not sure if it would be "Burnleyais" or "Burnleyaise". I'm not sure why there isn't an e on the end of 'rennais' though. I'd need to ask somebody much better at French than I am.
