Oh the joys, let's see if Oliver can get through a game without him causing a usual stink
Re: Referee confirmed for Arsenal game
I think he’s an excellent referee. He doesn’t cause any stinks, it’s usually the var group that do that.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 10:39 amOh the joys, let's see if Oliver can get through a game without him causing a usual stink
Re: Referee confirmed for Arsenal game
Marvellous, Michael Oliver the week after Arteta had a whinge about referees. What could possibly go wrong?

Re: Referee confirmed for Arsenal game
Wasn't Pawson the ref that allowed play to continue until Arsenal scored with a blatant handball in 2016?

VAR official has become more important than the match referee which I am sure was never the intention but has happened and is changing football maybe forever

I was expecting Arteta to be with the whistle.

Re: Referee confirmed for Arsenal game
Not sure a ref will make any difference to the outcome this weekend BUT I'd much rather have Oliver than someone new. I actually think he doesn't particularly buckle and he will be under massive pressure from Arsenal no doubt

Guaranteed at least 1 penalty for literally no contact then
Re: Referee confirmed for Arsenal game
Oliver is one of the best imo. Doubt it will affect us either way. I expect a stuffing however good the referee is.

Re: Referee confirmed for Arsenal game
I'd have Oliver refereeing all our games for the rest of the season if it meant avoiding the likes of Darren England and Rob Jones.
