Those looking for a pub crawl, I suggest getting the tube to Angel and you’ll have a 35 - 40 minute walk to the the Emirates. Lots of pubs on the way up.

I've heard that the atmosphere at the Emirates is now one of the best in the division

Probably about a 35 minute walk up to the ground but there are two quality pubs fairly close to Angel station that I'd recommend; the Island Queen and Earl of Essex.

Not sure if there are any other good ones that are much closer to the ground? From memory most of the ones around Highbury and Islington station weren't too keen on letting away fans in

Not done the route personally but stayed in Angel the other summer with family and was impressed with the location and range of bars and pubs.

Madness fans can go in The Hope and Anchor and see where the One Step Beyond video was filmed.

Depending how early you are, you can do the pub crawl from Euston right up through Islington to the ground 😁

Drunk on Upper Street both at football and with my wife and really enjoyed it.

We might need to do it the other way by half time if our defending doesn’t improve.

The traditional away pub (Drayton Arms) is now closed . The 2 pubs closet to the ground which accommodate away fans are The Hercules on Holloway Road and The Library on Upper Street. Both are a 20 minute walk to the ground. There's also a Wetherspoons round the corner from The Library. The ground opens at 1pm but beer and food will be expensive! Another option is The Twelve Pubs and The Blackstock next to Finsbury Park station, again about a 20 minute walk from/to the ground

We're going to have a couple of pints in The Rocket near Euston and then head up to Highbury & Islington on the underground and go in the Wetherspoons round the corner before heading to the ground.

If you’re around Euston area, walk down towards Kings Cross, take a right up by the Irish Bar, then left behind Camden Town Hall to The Dolphin Pub. Only a small pub, but great beer.

Looks like beer and food will be a lot cheaper in the ground than the surrounding area! Not many places in the area where just a pint will be under a fiver. From the ground guide:

There is an ‘Early Bird’ special on offer up to 45 minutes before kick-off, where you will be able to purchase a pie and pint/large soft drink for £5.

Last time the Blackstock had signs up saying home fans only but they didn't seem to enforce it (although none of us were wearing colours).

For years we met in the Dolphin before England games, always busy but a very decent stop

Lots of excellent pubs in the area, and some very walkable "crawls" to the ground. Not all welcome to away fans but not many. Been to the Alwyne Castle near Highbury & Islington station before the game a few times.

You just took me back about 50 years! Used to go on BT courses in Manor Gardens and The Hercules was the go to pub at lunchtime! They did a very nice, huge hot sausage in a long bun, before pubs really did much food!

Good memories!

Decent offer. You'd do well to find many pubs in London where you can get a pint for £4.15

If anyone is thinking of going to O’Neils at Kings Cross or The Rocket near Euston station or infact any of the Nicholson pub chain go onto the pub website and ‘sign up’. Free pint in it for you via email if you do.

I’ve baggsied two using my own and wife’s email address. Every little helps with London beer prices!

If anyone still driving, last time I went, I parked in a free parking residential area just off the A103 and caught a bus down to the ground, straight line down the hill. Ground on left. Not sure about Ulez etc now.

Another option is to park at Cockfosters tube station and get the underground in. About 25 mins on the tube

That's reminded me, I seem to remember there were a few that used to park at Arnos Grove and get the tube in. That car park is now closed.

Anyone know the nearest away pub to the ground? I’m here and don’t fancy a massive walk!
