Re: Would you want him?
Don’t think he’s good enough for the Premier League.
I think we’ll sign a ridiculous name up front on loan or short term that no one would ever think would come to Burnley

Re: Would you want him?
Definitely not. I’d rather have Jay Rod playing than him. It’s worrying if VK is looking at him.
Re: Would you want him?
Nay nay & thrice nay.
Re: Would you want him?
Good in Champ not good enough for PL. If he can’t cut it in the Spanish League it’s doubtful he will against better players in the PL.

Re: Would you want him?
I must be in the minority but I think he's far from crap. He was superb for large parts of his Rovers career and carried them for many a win both with his goals and his ability to carry the ball up the pitch.
I would certainly not be against a loan move..

Re: Would you want him?
Thought he was a right lazy ******* in the derby at the Turf. No thanks.
Re: Would you want him?
Might be worth a punt ,he may have something to prove, hate to say it but Weghorst might bring a bit of beef to the side unless VK can pull a rabbit out of the hat perhaps Haarland.

Re: Would you want him?
I think we'll end up signing someone from abroad that none of us have heard of.
Mind you, that can sometimes work well... Sometimes.

I can’t believe he’s only 24 years old.

Re: Would you want him?
Weghörst? He doesn’t want to be at Burnley so hopefully it remains that he’s not.

Re: Would you want him?
The situation with Lyle Foster has created the need for someone who can lead the line, if Brereton Diaz can do it we could do a lot worse.

Re: Would you want him?
If it happens, I hope he is a huge success and fires us to safety. That would really **** them off. Go Ben!

Re: Would you want him?
It'd be almost too sweet to be true, but yeh, he leaves no-hopers Rovers and a bit later comes to save Burnley's bacon. Beautiful. From a pure banter perspective it's too good a possible opportunity for us to turn down.
And we need a bit of Ashley Barnes shithousery back in the side I think. No one will come close to Ash the Bash for that, but Diaz knows how to put himself about.
Re: Would you want him?
Sign him on. Cheap loan. Might come off. If not, nothing lost.
Re: Would you want him?
His regular position for Blackburn was playing from wide left
Just what we need - another bloody winger

Re: Would you want him?
Don't think that is what Brereton Diaz is. Played off Gallagher at Rovers. Not sure he's what we need.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 9:38 pmThe situation with Lyle Foster has created the need for someone who can lead the line, if Brereton Diaz can do it we could do a lot worse.
Re: Would you want him?
Lad's 6'1 and 80kg. Those are striker stats, not winger stats. From our team last year only Tella scored more in the league than him. As a low risk loan given Lyle's absence we could do a lot worse...
Like bringing back Wout, for example.

OK. So if he can't lead the line he's no good to us, that's OK with me.claretspice wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 10:12 pmDon't think that is what Brereton Diaz is. Played off Gallagher at Rovers. Not sure he's what we need.

I’d take wout back, always would have done, he’s not your man for a relegation scrap though

Doesn't want to play for us, probably never has.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 10:22 pmI’d take wout back, always would have done, he’s not your man for a relegation scrap though
I reckon the only reason he signed was to influence the Netherlands' selectors.

Re: Would you want him?
We need to talk Zlatan out of retirement. Shithouse and completes our status as the real AFC Richmond.Spiral wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 10:05 pmIt'd be almost too sweet to be true, but yeh, he leaves no-hopers Rovers and a bit later comes to save Burnley's bacon. I rate BBD.
Nothing to lose - does well for us then it pisses the fiddlers off to no end.
Doesn’t do well - well we’re shite anyway

Re: Would you want him?
No.
His best run in their team was off the left, carrying the ball and cutting in. We don’t need anyone else for that position. Not to mention I don’t think he’d be half as effective in the PL. I’d rather pay Eden Hazard £2m up front and bring him out of retirement for 5 months.

Re: Would you want him?
All the build up of him by Rovers fans, I was expecting a good player when we went down to the championship.
He was bobbins.
It will show this structure of club recruitment is terrible if we go anywhere near him.
