Trafford not good enough for this level, both goals so weak needs to be taken out of the frame for next game if not subbed now

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
He HAS to bite the bullet with the keeper when Muric is back. The way he stays glued to his line reminds me a bit of Hart when he was here.
And for the love of god when is Ekdal back?

Trafford is so weak it's embarrassing. Every team just puts crosses on top of him and watches him crumble.

I'm sorry but I'm afraid this will be Traffords last game he is so weak at coming for crosses .

Get Odobert and Obafemi on for JBG and Jay, maximize pace and get at them direct. Our goal came from raw pace, need it both sides and up top.

Dear Santa,
Can we have a decent goalie and a defence that can deal with simple balls in the box please.
Thankyou from a thoroughly p155ed off sufferer.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Commanding his box during set pieces will come with age. That's why I think he's our keeper in a couple of seasons. 2 cracking saves in the first half but let's himself down badly.
Need muroc in for now.

Throwing away the whole season for a school kid to maybe come good, terrible management that.

One thing to mention is I don't think muric saves that effort from saka first half onto the bar.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Dyche persevered with Jo Hart who like Trafford had Dracula syndrome and as a result Mee & Tarks game suffered through lack of confidence in the keeper but after the Everton game he put Heaton back in and things were 100% better, I`m afraid it`s time to drop Trafford for his sake, the defenders sake and the teams sake.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Lob balls close to our keeper and you'll score. This isn't Arsenal playing well or showing their class, it's literally Sunday league tactics of putting a big man on the opposition keeper.
And it's not just about coming for balls, it's about commanding your area. If he knows he can't beat Saliba to the ball he needs to make sure someone wins the ball before him.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
The thing I just don't get with the second goal is what is Trafford trying to do, saliba is in his eyeline throughout but he's absolutely ******* clueless as what to do to get there 1st

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
How can you say that when you don’t know? I have been quite restrained about Trafford thus far, however I have now got to say Vincent’s stubbornness in keep selecting him will result in relegation. Muric not even on bench today.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 4:27 pmOne thing to mention is I don't think muric saves that effort from saka first half onto the bar.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
It is a little worrying that Arsenal of all teams are going for the "pump high balls into the box, win setplays and stick a man on the keeper" tactic, worse that it's working.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 4:28 pmLob balls close to our keeper and you'll score. Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Muric was playing against Israel yesterday I think, he has no excuses left to play calamity now, I’d rather play vigoroux if Muric isn’t available.

You really think so? You don’t know Vincent then.Clive 1960 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 4:25 pmI'm sorry but I'm afraid this will be Traffords last game he is so weak at coming for crosses .

Guy can't even tie his own shoes..... ponce!
Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Cheers. I should have done my homework!
Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Muric must obviously be injured or ill not to make the bench today, but we're at the point where keeping Trafford in and exposing him like this is just cruel to the lad. You need to play to get experience, but you need to have the absolute basics nailed down too before you can be trusted to play.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Possibly true, but it's less embarrassing to see them go in than watching Trafford get bullied all over his box time and again.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 4:27 pmOne thing to mention is I don't think muric saves that effort from saka first half onto the bar.
Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
He is on international duty.
Muric is a very good shot stopper. His weakness eas beong a softie on his goal line from corners. He got much better late on in the season.

We need to get some subs on. Jay and Johann are leggy.
But it'll be Amdouni and Koleosho who make way first.

Re: Gooners v Clarets match thread
Trafford deserves some time off as the pressure is now really starting to tell. Can't be easy when the pressure is even there from a section of your own 'fans', keen to blame all goals on you.
I see one of our own is keen to get 'calamity' to stick again, too.
