Re: Taffy
Not only played, but was a major part of our survival, scoring in the 2-1 win against Southend and a crucial 90th min penalty to equalise against Torquay. Without those additional 3 points, we would have been down before the last game of the season. He brought some much needed experience to the worst side in our history and despite his advancing years was still a very good player, albeit without the pace of his younger years.
Best wishes to one of our greats and hoping that he does not suffer.

Re: Taffy
I haven't heard anything more but I share all the concerns shown on here, it really isn't looking too good right now. He's a battler though and hopefully no news is proving to be good news.

Re: Taffy
Absolutely. Crucial goals. A major player for us that awful season. He stood out as having pure class.Herts Clarets wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 9:33 amNot only played, but was a major part of our survival, scoring in the 2-1 win against Southend and a crucial 90th min penalty to equalise against Torquay. Re: Taffy
Really hope he pulls through, I was only talking about him to my Welsh mate the other day,he didn't realise he'd played for us 3 separate times.
I've got Taffy's shirt from the Orient game,it's hanging up in my bedroom now, wishing him all the best.

We appreciate the concern and the kind words from everyone but can we please ask you to refrain from further posts until we as a family choose what to share?
Whilst your intentions may have been good regarding your initial post, none of the information you have shared has been given out by the family.
Taffy is poorly, that’s all we are prepared to say at the moment, and we will give further updates as a family when we feel up to it.
