Everton fans making a fuss about the lenient 10 point deduction.

Celebrating the 10 point deduction with a firework display is a bit weird.

Re: Todays football
Everton are decent but without Calvert Lewin as a focal point they would be half the team.
With United, City, Chelsea and Newcastle at home to get to the halfway point it remains possible they will end the first half of the season on 14 points - 10 = 4 points, that 14 being insufficient to stay up regardless of the final deduction.
My fear that is growing is that Everton will be relegated - with us, harming us next season.

Re: Todays football
Sky’s desperation to not show the Everton’s fans signs is laughable. Some bizarre camera angles being shown.

The Everton signs are great - just confirming they’ve been fined for corruption

Re: Todays football
Question for everybody:
What is the difference between these two incidents - the penalty awarded to Manyoo today by VAR and the penalty not awarded by VAR for Burnley today?
Feel free to post any possible explanations.

Never a pen, Martial ran into him, Young was pulling his foot away.

Only need another 18 goals and we’re off the bottom.

^^^ Yep, this.
Re: Todays football
The difference is that some refs believe that touching someone is a foul (assuming the fouled player makes a meal of it) and some don't. Fernandes' left foot was touched and he chose to fall over, which is his choice but which certainly in my book does not mean he was tripped.
Watch his right foot. Was it impeded enough to stop working?
If they want to referee this way, they ought to change the law. Make it official that anybody who rolls about screaming after being touched, can have a free kick. The amount of players crying and rolling about because someone touched them, is pathetic.

I wonder what Evertons punishment will be for giving fans cards saying that PL is corrupt ? The League will have to defend that accusation. If they don’t one can assume they are corrupt!

Re: Todays football
I think the explanation might have already been given but both identical in that they weren’t given on field.

Re: Todays football
If Everton had taken their opportunities they’d have probably won this.
They’ve played far better than they did against us in the League Cup but having said that they didn’t need to play well to beat us.

Re: Todays football
The club is responsible for what happens in its stadium. Failure to control its supporters I believe is the phrase. Doesn't matter who printed them or who handed them out.
