Attendance tomorrow
Going to a poor one, there’s loads left online in any stand or section you want.
I know loads who have lost the buzz from last season and aren’t bothering, added with the freezing weather and icy roads.
Then Christmas coming up, I’d say the real attendance will be 17k ish.
There’s no way the attendance of 21,319 against West Ham was accurate there was loads of empty’s.

Re: Attendance tomorrow
There's a few on here who had better watch out. Plastic can get brittle in the cold, especially when placed under duress, like too much knee-jerking.

Much better without the part time, moaning, whinging and about 10 or so numptys who give our young “brilliant” goalkeeper grief, Bellends !

Re: Attendance tomorrow
There's less than 200 seats still available, which is exceptional considering our home results this season! The gate will be over 20,000.

Aye Leisure, but that won't put some of the attention-seeking bores on here claiming the 'real' attendance is way, way lower.

I wont be there. Wife will be though in my absence.
I'll be freezing my bollix off at East Fife v the Spartans
Lad has said we will get beat every week this season and he predicts a win today because I'm not there.

Re: Attendance tomorrow
I’ve not read the good old “I know loads who have stopped going” for a while , it used to be the “I know loads who are not renewing” when in reality it was maybe 2 or 3. More tedious stuff. Right, time to pack the suitcase and head back to England.

Re: Attendance tomorrow
It's been worrying planning the journey for those of us who have to travel a distance to get there.
I certainly couldn't take the chance, firstly getting there and then getting home if it snows again.

Re: Attendance tomorrow
Pretty sure attendance is counted on tickets sold, not the number that actually go through the gates

Re: Attendance tomorrow
It is. I think we had two seasons around 2013-14/2014-15 when it was actual numbers again (individual error rather than club policy change), but since 2003-04 ish it’s been pretty much the tickets sold. We did used to give both figures for a couple of years in the early 2000’s but then that stopped.
It’s the same for all League clubs nowadays though. It shouldn’t really be called attendance these days, it should be called the gate, which is effectively what it is.

Re: Attendance tomorrow
The OP seems to enjoy posting about how the crowd will be poor and (on another thread) how tickets can’t be given away. Very strange mindset. As has been said ..who cares. Those of us who want to be there will be there.

Re: Attendance tomorrow
There's nothing shocking/unusual/bad about it. There aren't 20,000 people who want to watch Burnley regardless of how enjoyable it is and so when it gets this bad to watch attendances will dwindle even among season ticket holders and those who bought tickets in summer for a game months away.
Attending football matches doesn't make you a good fan or a good person, it's literally just a hobby.

21,488 fans turned out. Maybe keep your negativity to yourself in future. You are undermining the players and club!ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 8:28 pmGoing to a poor one, there’s loads left online in any stand or section you want.
