Interested to read this today, and actually be interested in something that was celebrity, but I was out after reading Al…. I wouldn’t Attend a free for all orgy with Lady Gaga, charlize theron and Taylor swift if Campbell was Involved. I’d sooner mason greenwood was involved with our club before this individual.

His podcast with Rory Stewart is brilliant.bobinho wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 9:05 pmInterested to read this today, and actually be interested in something that was celebrity, but I was out after reading Al…. I'd need to know a lot more than what's in the public domain before forming such an opinion.bobinho wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 9:05 pmInterested to read this today, and actually be interested in something that was celebrity, but I was out after reading Al…. As mentioned above his podcast with Rory Stewart is the most informative constructive thing around atm. Sensible tories are harder to find than leprechaun turds right now, but RS is such a person.
RS, incidentally, doesn't strike me as someone who'd get into bed with anyone as nasty as the red tops like to portray AC.

Re: Sir Michael Palin on the Turf
It becomes easy to see why our country is in such a state when you realise the man who fabricated the evidence we used to invade Iraq and one of the colonial governors we installed there are seen as the most informative constructive thing around, doesn't it?

Fine if I was confident that was the case dave. You'll need to forgive me for being a bit cynical about the stuff fed to us by the various vested interests.

Who exactly are these vested interests? Who do you believe is conspiring against Campbell, long time friend of the establishment and wooer of the Murdoch press?
As for Stewart, one quick look at his publicly available voting record shows he is, in fact, just another nasty Tory like all the rest of them. The fact that the left is so easily charmed by a mild-mannered Conservative may give an idea as to why we’re in the state we’re in.

Re: Sir Michael Palin on the Turf
It's good to not trust vested interests but a little odd to not include journalist/war crime guy Campbell and government minister/MI6 guy Stewart in the category not to trust.
Re: Sir Michael Palin on the Turf
We are in the state we are in because too many think this is the promised land and we as individuals are responsible for nothing and all our woes are our Governments fault.Ten million working aged people are not working! They all cant i am sure but many can and should be.Beagle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 12:00 pmWho exactly are these vested interests? Re: Sir Michael Palin on the Turf
Rory Stewart repeatedly explains why his voting record is not necessarily aligned with his actual views on the podcast. Worth listening to
He is not a fan of theyworkforyou.com one bit
And he's absolutely not a nasty Tory
He's even left of centre on quite a few things

Re: Sir Michael Palin on the Turf
Much as I despise Campbell I’m pretty sure this was simply a friendly get to together ? Palin is a SW fan though he mentions in his diaries he occasionally watched SU. MP recently lost his wife and anyone whose read MP’s diaries ( not the travel ones) will know exactly how must have felt at losing his wife . Looks simply like a nice gesture from the otherwise odious Alistair .

I haven't listened to it as bad men lying isn't my idea of entertainment and I'm not enough of a rube to think you can stand as a Tory in 2015, support loads of awful **** and be left of centre.Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 1:46 pmHave you listened to the RiP Iraq special?
