Sheffield United since 2000 v Burnley

Post by jdrobbo » Sun Dec 03, 2023 5:48 pm

Off the top of my head, I recall Burnley scoring 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 goals v Sheffield United, during my time watching Burnley.

I’ve also seen Sheffield United score 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 goals against us.

Can’t be many other teams from the last couple of decades who this has happened for/ against.

J

You could extend it to 6, 7, with Sheff Weds.

I might be forgetting some obvious games but when have we scored 6 and 7 against Sheff Wed since 2000?

No surprise that we went down 7 - 0 if we were playing Stan and Harry T in a team post 1999

V Sheffield Utd, some results I recall…

0-0 - 2007
1-0 - 08/09 twice… (Elliott) or 1-0 (Paterson)
2-0 - 2001 and last season
3-2 (Eagles) or 3-3 (when Lowton scored for them)
4-2 (under pash) or 4-2 when Gayle scored a shoulder!
5-0 this weekend

0-0 - 2007
0-1 2003 (Iffy Onoura?)
2-0 - 1995 and 2001
3-3
2-4 (93) and 4-2 (03?)
5-2 (last season)

I was there that day. 6 May 1967. It was already 7-0 when Thomson saved the penalty!
