Berger is to blame for us being 1-0 down
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Apparently he has made the most number of accurate passes of any PL keeper this season according to the pre-match punditry
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
JBG has taken the majority of our fast direct threat out of the game. Should have been Odobert or Tresor, like for like replacement

JBG was the wrong option and the goal was calamitous. So frustrating after playing well

That's a disappointing goal. Mad pass after a really good half from o shea.

Our defending is embarrassing. More or less every week one of our players humiliates themself with a pathetic error.

So O'Shea underhits a pass and someone uses it to have a dig at Trafford...

Not sure O’Shea did a lot wrong there, yes it was underweighted but Berge first touch was a pass it was that bad.
Berge unfortunately just made a mistake and we were punished

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
It's noticeable that Wolves have stepped a few yards futher up the pitch since Koleosho went off. Less space in the middle.
Strange substitution to bring JBG on for Koleosho this early in the game...and to disrupt JBL by moving him to the other side. Zaroury surely the natural swap? Now we lack pace in behind and Wolves know it. Just odd.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Full disclaimer:
Trafford has done absolutely nothing wrong in this match.
The point still stands - if we want to build out from the back he isn’t the keeper for it and that isn’t because of the goal conceded either.
It’s everything else, receiving the ball, speed, trajectory of pass. Been done to death but if VK wants our lads to do this against better opposition then we will continue to come up short

Problem is, VK doesn’t trust Odobert or Tresor to track back like JBG, JBL and Koleosho do.
Nor do I to be honest, but does leave us looking really lacking pace now.

The mistake is from O'Shea and not Berge. That pass was not on. It was a dummy run by Berge. The ball was to Jay or Amdouni in centre midfield.

He should have taken that in his stride if we being honest. That was really poor from berge. But unfortunately a mistake in your own third is usually critical

VK doesn't seem to fancy Zaroury.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Need to get O’Shea out of the side. For all the good he brings with the longer pass, he can’t pass short for toffee and has cost us a good few cheap goals
Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
They've nothing to fear in behind now they can push up the pitch, we've no pacey winger and Jay up front neither of those three will beat a Wolves defender for pace.
It has everything to do with them stepping it up

Just seen it again, the pass is was a bit under hit but Berge really made a hash of it.
I’m not sure why Berge didn’t just boot it. He tried to take it in his stride and messed it up.
It’s just one of those things unfortunately. If we played like we did most of the half we should at least get a draw

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Don't agree with people saying we've been by far the better team. Wolves have had more of the ball, they had a half chance they put over, we've had 1 5 second passage of play with 1 good chance for Jay and 1 good effort from Brownhill but otherwise have once again failed to be as incisive as we need to be. Lots of possession in advanced wide areas, not a lot of productivity.
Dreadful error from O'Shea compounded by a dreadful error from Berge who'd been running the midfield otherwise. Trafford had no chance with it.
Koleosho going off could be costly, can't understand Johann being the sub, he's never a winger anymore keep saying he's best as a CM at this level now. Zaroury or Odobert is more of a like for like swap with pace and dribbling ability, Larsen looks better on the right than left and now he's had to switch and Gudmundsson hasn't got going, dipped our tempo massively and has yet to drag anybody out of position to get Vitinho space.
Jay anonymous and spurned a good chance. Amdouni running a lot but not doing much. Wolves don't half press excellently and have a real ability to mix play, they know more than 1 way to score or win and even if we'd been denying any great chances until the error, we weren't convincing.
Think we made the wrong sub and not sure what we do now, I'd probably be brave and sub Johann back off, not sure he's what we need to get past their defence.

He's far nervier and less consistent than Muric. Wolves are pressing him hard and often and it's causing a lot of turnovers.

It is, we didn't have the composure to score and they did. Also, credit has to go to their keeper who made good saves.
We are always going to make some mistakes. It's the way we play, we need to take our chances.
These mistakes aren't going to stop, we need to out score our opposition.

Trafford may have gathered in his hands initially. Maybe inexperienced or maybe how he’s coached.

Re: Match Thread - Wolves v Burnley
Very frustrating. We are simply not good enough to play out from the back like that when the other team are pressing even vaguely effectively. We'd already got away with a couple, but just never seem to learn.
Yet another decent performance, unable to take our chances, and then gift the opposition a late goal.

I'm all for playing possession out from the back but under no pressure whatsoever, clumsiness and poor passing in your own box...is quite frankly...schoolboy errors.
It's not even defending...it's just giving the ball away to their forwards in our box! Suicide.

Whatever happened earlier doesn't detract from that covering tackle at the end of the half.
And personally, while he should have done better, he wasn't entirely responsible for another goof by us.

Totally disagree based on the replays I’ve seen, Berge wins it fine but then takes a heavy touch and concedes possession.

I'm certain I'm not on my own here , keep kidding yourself.
The truth is I'm seething at these repeated mistakes that are costing us so many points.
We are done in this game now . Its the characteristic of this team
