Benson
What's his injury, when will he be back?
Re: Benson
Don’t know but he has played games for the U21’s. It’s strange how last seasons stars are nowhere near the side at the moment.
Re: Benson
Wonder if we are selling? All seems odd.

Re: Benson
Maybe we should go back to Benson and Zaroury on the wings. Surely they’ll carry more of a threat than we’re seeing at the moment.
Re: Benson
Zaroury has been very poor since returning from the World Cup, in the games he has come on he has been disappointing.

Re: Benson
Really doubt Zaroury would carry more threat than Koleosho. Are you serious? Zaroury was really poor after the WC and has been really poor in his starts so far this season.scouseclaret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:16 pmMaybe we should go back to Benson and Zaroury on the wings. Benson is a different story. I think Koleosho left and him right could be something special. Would love to know where Benson is at.
Re: Benson
He was terrible at Bournemouth, not interested, I suggest Kompany wasn’t happy with this .Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:21 pmHe’s not been very poor at all. We didn’t carry “very poor” players in the second half of last season.

He hasn't reached anywhere near the standards he'd hit prior to the world cup.Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:21 pmHe’s not been very poor at all. We didn’t carry “very poor” players in the second half of last season.

Re: Benson
Is he injured or is he just that luxury player in the championship we simply cannot rely on in the prem? He is lightweight and his tracking back isn’t the best but the lad has quality.
Re: Benson
Why do people keep repeating this nonsense?
You want him to play an injured Benson and unavailable Foster?
or how about an out of form dreadful now injured Cullen? Do you want to see Al Dakhil back in and giving up goals again? How about an injured Jack Cork? Or a struggling Roberts?

Re: Benson
Benson missed all of pre season, he started the 2nd game of the season and is on the road to recovery with the u21s for game time. What’s so hard to understand?

Re: Benson
Haven't there always been doubts about Benson's physicality, not just at Burnley?

Re: Benson
I think he learned a fair bit last season, having been kicked all over the pitch and marked by at least two in every game.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:31 pmHaven't there always been doubts about Benson's physicality, not just at Burnley?

Re: Benson
Yes, when he first came. You might remember Watford kicking him early in the game at theirs and he cried off.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:31 pmHaven't there always been doubts about Benson's physicality, not just at Burnley?
Kompany then had a number of training sessions where I games the rules were no fouls given against Benson. They basically kicked lumps out of him. It toughened him up and he was brilliant after that. Perhaps he’s slipped back?
