Tonight’s football (6/12)
Couldn’t find a thread on tonight’s fixtures but Sheff Utd look like a different team tonight than they did against us!
Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
Our Youth Cup tie against Birmingham at Leyland has been postponed because of a frozen pitch.

half a chance Cooper gets potted tonight, Forest 2 down at Fulham
Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
Don’t see how Utd got a pen there ,the ball is 5 yds away from Antony when his foot his stood on.

Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
Forest have for a while been my tip for the bottom three along with Luton and Sheffield. We just need to be 4 points closer by the final day.
Just as well, Bournemouth looking good again tonight.

Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
After watching all the teams over the last few days and weeks every other team at the bottom end has played at least one good game against the top half apart from us ,one good display against 10 men that’s our chuffing lot.

Brighton playing in blue, so Brentford thought it was a good moment bring out their own (hideous) blue kit. Hmmm…

Forest battered 5-0. Wasn’t so long back when Cooper was touted as the coach to follow.

Had the SheffU match on all night and must say I’ve enjoyed Efan Ekoku summarising again.
Never heard him talk nonsense.

Very impressed with Villa tonight. Making City look ordinary.
Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
It’s hard to believe this Villa squad is, more or less, the same group of players Gerrard had. Just shows what an outstanding coach can do for a team.

Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
Villa deservedly lead. Villa a different animal since Emery came in, and will hopefully usurp Brighton and De Zerbi as the next best thing.
City have been poor, but could also score 3 in the next 10 minutes.

City arent playing particularly badly. But Villa are not allowing them to play.

For those who say we can't compete due to money, Kieffer Moore scored the winner for Bournemouth.
Would anyone suggest he's better than Jay-Rod, or any player we have in our squad?

Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
Losing their 2 main goal scorers from last season in Brennan Johnson (Tottenham) and Awoniyi (injured) are massive holes for Forest to fill. Chris Wood is not the force he once was at this level.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 9:31 pmForest battered 5-0. Wasn’t so long back when Cooper was touted as the coach to follow.

Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
I'm pointing out that many are saying the PL is getting away from us due to money yet that's obviously not the case if players with his lack of quality can do ok.

Really enjoying studio chat with Jeff Stelling. Much better than regular commentary.
Re: Tonight’s football (6/12)
I remember when Mike Garlick agreed a deal with Villa to allow them to receive Ashley Westwood money early, because Villa were broke. In the same window, Grealish was available for a discount. Both because Villa were broke.
Imagine, if in 2018, we were ran by people who wanted to win.
It’s a funny one

This doesn’t make any sense. Just because a limited player has scored, doesn’t make that point untrue. Bournemouth spent more than us in the summer.
