Sorry to cause an argument but it shouldn’t matter what a poster’s thoughts are there is no reason to justify any abuse if in your opinion it’s a daft post.

Charlie Austin scored for Swindon at Accy Stanley the other week.

Personally I wouldn’t want Chris Wood back, however why make sarcastic suggestions just because someone’s suggested a centre forward that you don’t think fits the bill ,the state of our strike force at the moment any feasible suggestions would be helpful.

I doubt they would let us have him. They’ve never let us have anybody else.

Let's play 'the only forwards on the planet who we can sign are ex Burnley players' game.

Ashley Barnes
Lukas Jutkiewicz
Matej Vydra
Nahki Wells
Sam Vokes

Very much doubt we would go back for him but wouldn't be surprised to see him rock up at Everton.

I agree-he still features for them and they would see us as a relegation rival. One club who might consider loaning us a very experienced striker are Brighton-loaning us Danny Wellbeck. Appreciate he is 33 but his style of play is not dissimilar to Lyle Foster-quite aggressive, gives the centre half a hard time and holds the ball well. Also very good in the air. Had an injury perception at Arsenal but has featured 90 times for Brighton, and scored 20, but now struggling to get a game with Brighton's current crop of strikers

Seriously? Jay Rodriguez’s dad kiko would be a better option than Chris wood.

Have you watched us since VK has become gaffer?

Woody was brilliant for us - no question about that, 49 goals or something in 150 apps for us in the PL.

Not what we require in a striker anymore, and he can't particularly do what he once did as effectively.

Aye, and they are no longer inexistence either, like Chris Wood as a striker, we may as well bring Weggy back, he's as much use.

Wouldn't mind it if the alternative was no one. At least we would have a striker on the bench.

Genuine front men with a good goal scoring record are rare, and finding one that clubs are prepared to loan is even harder. The bottom 6 or 7 clubs would not play ball with us. Foreign players take too long to settle in as we have experienced

Wood was excellent for us. He looks awful at Forest. For once we got megabucks for a player at exactly the right time

I agree with a lot that say we dont want him back as i'm not sure he'd fit in this team.... however to say he was average is wrong really. Consistantly got into double figures with goals in a team where chances in front of goal were fewer than with this team. If thats average then we are in desperate need of an average striker!!
