hjalmar ekdal

Post by Goobs » Sat Dec 16, 2023 12:30 am

Been on the night shift this week and had the music on. 500 miles came on and I found myself singing his name to the chorus.

hjalmar ekdal, hjalmar ekdal
hjalmar ekdal, hjalmar ekdal
Da de dum de de dum de de dum de de dum da da

And I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walks a 1000 miles to see you at Turf Moor

(CHORUS)

And before anyone asks I haven't slept in 36 hours and have had a few beers.

I’d go and get some rest if I was you.

Works for a few team members :-
Jay Rodriguez, Jay Rodriguez
Charlie Taylor, Charlie Taylor (suspended today, I know)
Sander Berge, Sander Berge (if pronounced Burger like the commentators are doing, not like merge which is what I had thought).
In fact I quite like it for Berge, if that is actually how you pronounce his name.

Nope, and not just because it isn't on the new chants thread either.

I wish. Got fired from there as I failed when trying to organise the Christmas drinks.

I don't answer to you fat lad! I'll have you know I run the Jimmy Mac and that's a full two tiered stand not a pathetic corner of a 1 tiered stand built when your grandad was still in his dad's nut sack.

So you can take your title as king of the coked up lovers and stick it where the sun don't shine!

You still wouldn't take us with your 2 tiered stand and just our pathetic coked up corner.

Absolute shambles part of the ground where you sit.
May aswell be empty for what it provides in terms of support and atmosphere

Just glad Pacey and Co understand the importance of the CFS and its subsequent leader

Is he injured again or what? How on earth is he not getting in this team if he isn’t?

Do need to bump this because it’s baffling me. Every time he’s played he’s looked the part - pairs well with Beyer, has height and presence, can play the style we want to play. Surely he’s a better shout than O’Shea?

Could well be but wasn’t listed as injured on the official statpack thing (which I know isn’t definitive) nor mentioned anywhere else. Very frustrating.

He must've been injured or poorly, surely.
