Surrendering 16 points from leading positions is hard to bear.

Us and Spurs I think. Worst in the league.

Which goes to show that losing points from winning positions, while irritating, can happen even to teams that are riding high.

Good words from Vinny this week. Seems a bit more like his old self - maybe buoyed by the recent, more stoic performances. Hopefully more of the same to come.

Man Utd are in 6th plaace and have only scored 2 more goals than us. Just shows what a difference it makes hanging on to those single goal leads.

"It's not what I expected..." Wonder what he means by that.

Good that he sounds happy.

Probably means that the negative stereotypes attached to the club, town and inhabitants are nonsense that us Clarets have always known them to be.

Yes, you could be right with that, he's not likely to say 'it's not as bad as i thought it would be'. :P

I think he meant that he saw it as a stepping stone but now recognises the club and the town for what it is - a special place that has overachieved for 140 years because of the mentality of it’s people. Obviously an assumption on my part.

There has to be a reason that more managers last longer here, more players stay living around here, and the team finishes higher than almost any other comparable club, and have done for over a century. Rhymes with the kind of thing JJ has been saying.

Sharp cookie is Vincent.
Does the media very well.
Unfortunately, didn’t do the transfer window very well.
None of our back 5 get into any other PL team.
You can dress that up as much as he likes.
But he signed them all. Not Taylor of course.

he needs a season or so to develop them, and iron out who isn't good enough
if that means we go back down, so be it. he'l likely still have a job, and still have a good squad of young players to give the championship another go
its a long term game. we're being punished by seasoned pros for sides that have been in the prem for years

He was so disappointed to not break the Championship points record that he wants to have another crack at it.
