Sad to see a lot of so called fans on here begging for us to lose, hammering into the team when it’s 0-0 away at Fulham

Wonder if the Fulham fans are saying "Burnley won't have an easier game all season"

Don't you just love an optimist?
I think he'll start last weeks team with just Taylor back in. Same old tippy tappy pathetic defending, same old sideways and backwards passing, same pathetic corners, same uninspiring set pieces, same old abysmal throw-ins,same lame misjudged substitutions, same excuses post match.
Might be wrong though .

Probably because it's a vital way to which we want to play? Different if we're a team that plays off second balls etc

I'll enjoy this win with a big smile on my face. Many on here, judging by their OTT reactions on this thread when our team lineup was announced, will enjoy it through gritted teeth.

Re: Match thread - Fulham v Burnley
You can't really blame criticism of the starting line up given how we have played this season upto this point.
It's absolutely brilliant with how they managed to come away with the three points today and we can now all enjoy it, except those oddballs who feel it's a great opportunity just to take digs at their fellow fans. Just enjoy the vital 3 points and have a good Xmas!

Two cracking finishes, can't believe they let Berge runs straight through to score like that.

Re: Match thread - Fulham v Burnley
Great result but also a great performance from every single player who played a part too.
Re: Match thread - Fulham v Burnley
Can’t agree with that ,a good first 15 mins similar to many other games then started giving the ball away ,watching it and reading most of the comments thought similar to me we were pretty abysmal up to half time ,however an excellent confident 2nd half .
Re: Match thread - Fulham v Burnley
Go read the comments from the first half, several “fans” were absolutely willing the ball into our own net.
Iv never seen such a fickle bunch of “fans” ever, the complete lack of support for BFC in the PL on here is shocking. Let’s only support the team after they have won, 24 hours later let’s start again hammering the team and manager.

I had us losing today and Forest winning (and I tend to be optimistic).jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:00 pmI’m convinced Luton will drop, so I’m not overly bothered.
Forest losing is big. We need Nuno to have a bad start (and end).
Now I see late February as their next very winnable game with a very tough run before that. Hoping Luton at home will see us move out of the bottom three.

Credit where it is due for that admittance.
Like I posted earlier at 2pm, it was Kompany’s best starting lineup apart from Koleosho and arguably JBG. It didn’t need to be ours .

Nothing to do with a “lack of support”. If you’re not at the game and watching a stream, you just comment on what you’re seeing. If we’re really ****, as we undoubtedly were in the first half, it isn’t “wanting us to get beat” to say so. Second half we played well and I’m made up we won.KRBFC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:36 pmGo read the comments from the first half, several “fans” were absolutely willing the ball into our own net.

Just got back to hotel in Portugal and seen goals on the link on here; the Mrs commented "their manager will go ballistic about that one" runs from our half to edge of their penalty area and not one of five Fulham players gets within 4 yards of him, or even tries toburnleymik wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:31 pmTwo cracking finishes, can't believe they let Berge runs straight through to score like that.

How is keeping out free-scoring Fulham for 45 minutes really faeces?scouseclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:58 pmNothing to do with a “lack of support”. Re: Match thread - Fulham v Burnley
Good second half performance. Tbf Fulham did not look like scoring. I thought given their recent goal scoring record they would be vibrant and cause us lots of problems but they were lacklustre at best. We didn’t threaten much but conjured two goals out of nothing. Fulham also posed no physical threat and that helped us see out the game very comfortably. Thank god we mixed things up a bit with less faffing about at the back although there were one or two examples of suicidal play . Fulham did not press us with any intensity which really suited us.

Did you watch it? Regardless of how Fulham have been playing recently they were poor in front of goal today, but they made plenty of chances. We were careless in possession, soft in the tackle and clueless in the final third. On another day we’d have been out of it by half time.

The commentators on the stream I watched were very balanced, not sure who the e-Fulham player was but it was refreshing not to hear ultra-biased comms.

I’m not sure who it was either but I’m fair sure the main commentator called him tony and he said he’d scored against us at craven cottage many moons ago.Loyalclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 8:17 pmThe commentators on the stream I watched were very balanced, not sure who the e-Fulham player was but it was refreshing not to hear ultra-biased comms.

A very decent performance. I didn't expect it - then again we've only won twice this season but fair play I thought over the whole game we deserved to win.
Long may it continue

Second balls means the punt would have to find a claret shirt. It rarely did. KBRFC has a valid point. Far too many on here ripping Trafford BEFORE he gets anything wrong, and if he does get something wrong, it’s magnified massively. He makes a good save, he’s a show pony and doing it for the cameras. He makes a great save and it’s a save he should be making. It’s poor.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:19 pmProbably because it's a vital way to which we want to play? It means that they wouldn’t have to be as precise / to feet - more hang them up to your front two or whatever.bobinho wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 10:46 pmSecond balls means the punt would have to find a claret shirt. Just think we’d counter and play out quicker with more precision with the Kosovan mad man who I think is an absolute genius.
Anyway, I can agree with the hyper scrutiny but that’s what happens rightly or wrongly when you come in on a relatively big fee and you’re also keeping someone else out of the side that has a bit.
