Trafford- 6. Never tested with a particularly big save but made them all, passing was dire and put us under pressure and he flapped at several high balls but he did the most important thing right- stop everything towards goal.

Vitinho- 5. Big Vitinho fan, not his best today, struggled a lot to deal with their attack.
O'Shea- 8. Fantastic performance from him, strong in the air and capable in possession. More of this please Dara.
Beyer- 5. Really isn't the player of last season and I'd be tempted to rest him for Ekdal, he's struggling in ways I didn't expect.
Taylor- 6. Up down, did okay, couple decent moments couple wobbles.

Larsen- 4. Got in behind with a few moments in the first 8 minutes, after that nothing was working for him.
Brownhill- 6. Did okay, kept us ticking.
Berge- 8. Get +1 for the goal, similar to Brownhill just a bit better he really does run our entire team, if he's overwhelmed we struggle if he's got a grip of the midfield we look capable.
Odobert- 7. +2 for the goal, he'd been AWOL first half and I'd probably have subbed him over Larsen but my goodness what a strike. Has that Benson X-factor.

Amdouni- 5. Start of the match was looking much better and more capable with Foster alongside him giving him space to move into, but he faded like the rest of the team after 12 minutes, but never really recovered 2nd half aside from 1 longrange snap shot.
Foster- 6. Worked hard, bit greedy on a couple of occasions but at least he wants to make things happen. Need him back to 90 mins fit.

Tresor- 4. May as well have not been there, seen people say he tracked back well but I didn't see it. Really doesn't look up to the standard to me.
Jay- 6. Never a goal threat but wasn't brought on to be, did what he needed to to shore us up. Been very harsh on him in general but he was fine for this purpose today.

That first half was proper dire after the 12 minute mark, wasn't even like Trafford was pulling out worldies to keep us in it we were just spared by Fulham's inability to finish. Second half that early goal made all the difference. We saw the game out surprisingly very well (apart from a couple more defensive flaps thankfully unpunished), scored from basically our only 2 decent shots (besides 2 other speculative efforts from Amdouni and Berge, and the chance that never was from Redmond for Roberts). Brilliant brilliant result, not the most brilliant performance but I will take those sorts of game every single week.

Trafford 7 - Made some good saves first half and claimed a lot of high balls. A few dodgy passes, but it happens. Largely no issues at all.

Vitinho 7 - Solid. Dove in a couple of times as he’s always liable to do but generally decent going either way.

O’Shea 9 - MOM for me. He was brilliant in the air, made some great blocks and drove out of defence in the second half when we had our lead, taking a lot of pressure off us.

Beyer 7 - Really silly booking and could have got a second yellow near the centre circle. Generally good at the back.

Taylor 8 - Very solid down his side.

Berge 8 - Great goal and a typical performance from him that we’re thankfully becoming accustomed to now. Gets stuck in, drives forward and has shown he has a goal in him.

Brownhill 7 - Competed well as ever

Odobert 7 - Fantastic goal and after a quiet first half (which could be levelled at them all, really) he shone in the second with his pace and workrate.

JBL 5 - Poor (so poor I had to edit this post as I’d forgotten he played!).

Amdouni 6 - Excellent in some moments but utterly anonymous in others (like the entirety of the first half). Undoubted talent that we are still working out how to unlock more consistently.

Foster 5 - Clearly not fully fit as he did struggle, but you could see he suited the team better in the first ten min when he offered us a great platform to hold the ball up.

Subs:

Tresor 6 - Thought he worked hard defensively. Needs to improve his crossing.
Rodriguez 6 - Put himself about.
Redmond 6 - Worked hard and almost set up Roberts.

Santa isn’t due until tomorrow night but he dropped us a performance off early. First half was poor from us and it felt a matter of time till they scored but the second half was outstanding in both halves. Really chuffed for them.

Trafford 6 - Some alright saves first half - kicking ability still hampers us when trying to get on the front foot
Vitinho 7 - Top today and had f all help defensively first half
O'Shea 8 - MOTM for me and I really feel like he's grown into the side as the season has gone on
Beyer 6 - Some good challenges, daft yellow.
Taylor 7 - Again naff all help first half but stuck to task and locked their right hand side down 2nd half.
Berge 8 - Brilliant and marshalled Palinha very well
Brownhill 7 - Captains performance, ran everywhere and again dealt with Palinha well
Brunn Larsen 5 - Looked off it today, was poor and rightly hooked
Odobert 7 - Tale of two halves - plus two for the goal that has ended up winning us the points, clearly is a very talented kid
Foster 6 - Great to see Foster back fit and fighting, battled hard
Amdouni 6 - First half anonymous then grew into the game, some nice touches

Trésor 7 - Really helped us retain posession when he came on and arguably changed the game, also tracked back very well.
Rodriguez 6 - Did what he had to do to see the game out

Merry Christmas Clarets!

Trafford 8 - solid throughout
Vitinho 8 - away clean sheet in the Prem
O’Shea 9* - best performance yet
Beyer 8 - silly booking and odd bit of defending
Taylor 8 - his PL nous showed today
Larsen 3 - abysmal both ways
Berge 8 - quality goal and outstanding 2nd half
Brownhill 7 - battled away, another with a better 2nd
Odobert 8 - stunning goal
Amdouni 6 - worked hard, has moments
Foster 6 - rusty but great to see him back, another assist

Tresor 7 - felt he made a big impact in how the game changed. From the off he pressed higher and faster, movement and touch gave us a better outlet and actually tracked back unlike Larsen. End product isn’t there yet but hopefully see more of him on the left. His corners are properly whipped in too.

He has got some serious whip on his deliveries doesn't he? All crosses.. Just a shame that we have so many that play in the same position...

Trafford 6 - did what he needed to do goalkeeping wise, distribution poor.

Vitinho - 5 - Dived in 2 or 3 times again 2nd half and luckily got away with it. Matter of time before he costs us again
O'shea - 8
Beyer 8
Taylor 7
JBL 4
Berge 9 He really is a tremendous player, the type weve struggled to get over the years. 14 million is an absolute snip, I wouldnt take anything less than 40-50 mill for him now.
Brownhill 7 its a good blend him and Berge, if only he was a bit better on the ball
Odobert 8 End product. Thats now 3 goals for him. A real talent, more excited by him than Koleosho, he stands out less but he offers us goals.

Foster
Amdouni 6 - The usual flashy bits but leaves you wondering the end whether hes really influenced the game

Subs
Tresor 7 Always looks to have so much time on the ball, oozes composure. Similar in that sense to Berge giving off that casual impression but hes really upped his work rate now and is starting to look better each game now.

I didn’t see the game but I’m surprised at some of the low scores being given. If we can play that badly and win away then we must be a good side.

Its no good being solid for 70 mins and throwing in stupid mistakes where you just go diving in. He does it every game.

Trafford 7 some good saves and ok distribution. Think Fulham missed a trick going with short corners but credit where credit is due
Vitinho 7 yeah he makes mistakes, but thought he did ok against a tough opponent. Effort cannot be faulted and some good moments
Taylor 7 Thought he did pretty well
Beyer 7 has come in for some criticism on this board recently but I still think he is a good player and showed it today. Will booking mins.
O’Shea 7 I’ve been a big critic but played well
Brownhill 7 he was poor last week but felt like his energy was back today
Berge 8* our best player for a while now and rapidly becoming a fan favourite
Odobert 7 good finish. Maybe not quite as sparkly as koleosho but actually puts the ball in the net which is vital
JBL 6 nothing quite worked for him today
Foster 6 started really well and for some time his physicality really made a positive difference, but inevitably faded and it was the correct decision to sub him
Amdouni 6 repeating myself - good player in there but he just doesn’t quite influence the game enough

You show me any fullback not named Kyle Walker that can defend perfectly for 90 minutes against a decent winger with 0 help from anyone in front of them.

Trafford - 7

Vitinho - 6
O’Shea -8. I’ve been a big critic. Today he was excellent.
Beyer-7
Taylor -7

Brownhill - 7
Berge - 8

Bruun Larsen - 4
Amdouni - 5. Good 2nd half but poor 1st.
Odobert - 6 - great goal but could have been hooked at HT

Foster -6

A clean sheet against a side who have been scoring for fun at home. The defence was solid and it’s not often we’ve said that.
Going forward there is work to do still. However we ground out a result and that’s what you have to do at the bottom.
I’ve criticized VK at halftimes in recent games - today he got it just about spot on.
Now - can we kick in and drag Forest into this. There is hope.

Trafford 7 - Minus one for distribution which was poor.
Vitinho 6 - Their winger had him on toast but can't fault a clean sheet.
OShea 8 - I've picked him out as the weak link in the defence time and time again, but he was MOM today.
Beyer 6 - Relatively poor today but again a clean sheet.
Taylor 6 - Passing let Chaz down today
Bruun Larsen 5 - Rightly hooked
Berge 8 - A Yaya Toure-esque performance. Calm in possession, drove us forward and chipped in with a goal too.
Brownhill 7 - Typical Brownhill performance.
Odobert 6 - Plus one for the goal. Typical wingers performance. Did stuff all but slot a worldie.
Foster 7 - I thought he held up play well and linked up the forward & midfield line.
Amdouni 6 - Wasn't coming off for him today and surprised he stayed on as long as he did.

Tresor 6 - Sloppy in possession but helped out his FB
Rodriguez 6 - Brought on to be a defensive CF. Wout would be proud ;)
Redmond 6 - Experience showed to see out the game.

Fancy him not being literally perfect and the greatest full back in the history of football.

Stupid comment.

Vitinho is our most improved player. He is such a good solid player now

Trafford 7 - Kept a clean sheet but his decision making and distribution is worrying at times.
Vitinho 7 - Not easy against a physically strong and pacey Fulham side but he dug in well.
O'Shea 8** - Another really good performance from Dara gets him my MOM, needs to repeat the same!
Beyer 6 - Not convincing enough at the moment.
Taylor 7 - Usual Chaz display.
Bruun Larsen 5 - Never got going at all
Berge 8 - The engine room of our team now and good to see him score.
Brownhill 7 - Need to keep him in January and develop his partnership with Sande
Odobert 7 - This lad can finish, hopefully he can get into the game more as he has the skills.
Foster 6 - Put himself about and hopefully is getting his game head back.
Amdouni 6 - Difficult to score him most games but he put a shift in.

Tresor 6 - Showed he can be a player for us, need him to repeat as well.

Rodriguez 6 - Not spectacular and not disappointing.

Trafford 8* MOM - solid Premier League Performance, filled his goal, made the necessary saves, a couple of hairy indecisive moments but earned his wages today
Vitinho 7 - stuck to it, more mistakes than anyone, mainly risky passing, but did well
O’Shea 8 - his best game, got run around too often in the first half which with better finishing could have been it, but grew into it
Beyer 7 - gets too exposed at times but did ok
Taylor 8 - very good today and there is a real risk that if he gets replaced in January it worsens us
Berge 7 - slow to grow into the game and his finish showed what we miss with him holding midfield
Brownhill 8 - important energy
Brun Larsen 5 - poor game and seems to be a better substitute, Benson-esque in that regard
Odobert 7 - poor in the first half, I’d have hooked him, shows what I knew, better when he moved to the right. Better finisher than Luka.
Amdouni 8 - his energy and zip in the first half almost opened them up several times, he is nearly but not quite
Foster 7 - understandable iffy touch due to rustiness but his energy made a difference and another assist

Tresor 7 - very tidy, some good balls up front and defended diligently, made a couple of vital interceptions
Rodriguez 6 - did nothing wrong but did reduce our attacking threat
Redmond 6 - tidy and the right move to bring him on.

Praise to Kompany - he got it spot on with his midweek talk about sides taking Christmas opportunities against mid table teams. His side was correct. His subs were correct. His tactics were correct. Fulham were jaded but that is what you get in this league, variety of form.the key is being close to your best as often as you can, and since Bournemouth we have only been off it once, Everton at home.

We now have 7 points from 5, with three mid table sides away in that run, that isn’t a bad return. I expect Forest to be dragged in, and for it to go to the wire. A point per game in the second half is at least 30 points - getting close to achievable.

We look a completely different team with Foster in the side. We took our chances when they came and defended well. We never really looked in any danger.

Massive 3 points!

I don’t like commenting on wider ratings, we all have an opinion, but on Amdouni, who has got a few low marks, I’m astonished.

His zip and intensity in the first half was noticeable, he touched the ball more in the first half than Berge or O’Shea, whose position implies more touches usually. He had a higher pass completion percentage than anyone in our first XI (88%) and also had quite a lot of passes so it wasn’t a fake percentage.

Just hoping he isn’t one of those players that Burnley fans don’t take to because he isn’t rapid, tough tackling or muscular.

Trafford 7
Vitinho 7
O’Shea 9 - outstanding today
Beyer 7
Taylor 7
Brownhill 7
Berge 8
Larsen 4
Amdouni 7
Odobert 8
Foster 7

Tresor 8 - thought he completely changed the game. Sure, a bit hit and miss with distribution but he’s very clever in how he picks up pockets of space.

Also played a big part in the 1st goal with an excellent intercepting tackle.

Yes, all credit to him for that and long may it continue. Good to see.

No point posting your ratings if you’re gonna give Amdouni a 3 and O’Shea a 5.Absolutely pointless.

I thought that the point of these ratings were that they were subjective? Thought O'Shea was average (not great and not bad) after some horror shows and Amdouni for me didn't offer enough (again a subjective rating)
