Ticket Exchange
Ticket Exchange
Can't get there tomorrow so put my tkt up on "Exchange"
Finding it hard to follow
One part of site says tkt has been resold but no monies added to my "On Account"
Anyone to help me track this as I could think about getting it back if not sold

Re: Ticket Exchange
I didn't get mine for Chelsea
Emailed and it was sorted fairly quickly
Can't make tomorrow, put my 3 up on Friday night on the exchange, not saying anything apart from "returned"
I think it is very manually intensive for the office. Painfully really as I know my 3 would be snapped up.

My son is down from Edinburgh and looking for one ticket if anyone is doing the exchange can they give me a heads up so I can look to buy on line. Showing sold out at moment and unsure if the office/system will update tomorrow.

Re: Ticket Exchange
Can someone remind me what you look at to see if your tickets have been sold, how do you get onto the ticket exchange system. I can’t seem to find anything on the clubs official site.

I don’t seem to have the 3 lines. I’ve therefore re- registered, at the bottom it says “ my account” when I click on that it just comes up with “Overview” at the top right it says “Main Website” I click on that and it shows todays team news but doesn’t offer me anything to guide me to my account. I’m not very techie but I do find this to be one of the most difficult apps to navigate.

Re: Ticket Exchange
How long after a fixture should I expect to get a refund? I couldn't attend the Liverpool game on Boxing day so I put my ticket up for re sale, checked later and it had re sold but nothing showing in my 'On Account' as yet.

Re: Ticket Exchange
I had the same problem regarding the Liverpool match, seat resold but no credit received, so I phoned the ticket office and apparently they are having problems with the system, which are being dealt with and they expect credits to be made soon.

Same issue here. I'm still waiting for my refund to be credited for the Everton game over 2 weeks ago.

Re: Ticket Exchange
This is very interesting, reading this. I was unable to attend the West Ham game, so I put my ticket on the exchange. I received a message in my account saying that the exchange had been taken up a day later. My account was credited to the tune of £24.50, but only after I had to email the club asking why the funds have not been transferred across.

I put mine on for the West Ham game and it said resold. Someone used it but now I cannot find a credit anywhere. Might it have been taken off my direct debit?

Re: Ticket Exchange
Sounds like something for the FAB to seek clarification from the club about - it would be interesting to know just what proportion of users are having to remind the club that it owes them money/credit and how those experiences align with the the terms and conditions for what should actually be a positive scheme for all concerned

Mine went on the exchange for Liverpool, was resold but hasn't been credited.
I will ring them tomorrow. I really shouldn't have to, the system clearly doesn't work properly.

always find it interesting that people acknowledge that something isn't working properly but do not ask why? there should have been more than enough time to erase any teething problems in the system by nowAwayfromburnley wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 7:16 pmMine went on the exchange for Liverpool, was resold but hasn't been credited.

Re: Ticket Exchange
I called up to chase mine from the Everton game. The person on the phone told me they'd had a few of these calls regarding games not being credited.
Turned out mine didn't sell for the Everton game, but I wasn't told either way. Which is a shame as I could have passed the ticket on for someone else to use. It was a loss either way for me at that stage

Re: Ticket Exchange
Update to my earlier post.
I phoned the ticket office today regarding the missing money for my ticket resale for the Liverpool game.
The lady said they were having some issues with the system but she could add the refund to my On Account manually, this she did and its now showing in my account.

Re: Ticket Exchange
I sold my ticket for the West Ham game. However the money wasn’t credited so I phoned up and they told me that that they were having problems as the system was “upgraded” and the money would come through in a couple of days. It didn’t, so I phoned again, more xcuses about the “upgrade” and they would credit my account manually. It’s still not there.
Sounds more like a system downgrade than an upgrade as plainly the system doesn’t work.

Re: Ticket Exchange
As with others, I've had my ticket resold for two games but no refund.
It's suspicious that we're all having to contact the club to have the refund applied- particularly when the club have pushed this so much.

Question
is the payment from the club a credit to an account with the club, so it essentially can only be spent with the club or a payment to the ticket holders bank account?

It's credit for future tickets from the club.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 7:47 pmQuestion

I tried to spend some in the clubshop but they wouldn't accept it.

and is it common practice across football for these types of schemes?

The wording on the website definitely used to indicate you could spend it in the clubs hope, it doesn't now.

Re: Ticket Exchange
Exactly what happened to me. Contact the club. I have to say, it’s a funny ‘admin error’ when your account gets credited but then funds just sitting there for future use, appear to be removed…Acting Claret wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 3:32 pmI put mine on for the West Ham game and it said resold. Re: Ticket Exchange
the discounting the credit from your DD would be an interesting (positive in my view as it is the equivalent of paying you the monies) action, any chance you could verify if that is what has happened?

Re: Ticket Exchange
We are season ticket holders and after reading all of these comments there is no way I would ever put our tickets up for transfer. Just seems to be another money making plan that someone has thought up. If myself and my family decide not to attend a game that’s my choice, it doesn’t give the right for another person to sit in our seats. It appears the club are collecting the resale money in and are not passing the refund onto the ticket holder without them having to contact the club. And the fact that the money can only be spent on future tickets?? As Chester Perry stated “is this actually legal”. It used to be printed on previous season tickets that they were not transferable. Wonder if other clubs have the same system in operation.Chester Perry wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 11:19 pmthe discounting the credit from your DD would be an interesting (positive in my view as it is the equivalent of paying you the monies) action, any chance you could verify if that is what has happened?

Re: Ticket Exchange
Likewise with us. There are 5 in our group of STH (2 adults, 2 kids & OAP) and I there’s only been 2 or 3 occasions when all of us have been able to attend this season.
I’m the one that sorts the tickets out usually, so all linked to my account but when I tried to put the others for resale, they don’t show.
It’s too much hassle for what appears to be little reward (and that sounds like you have to work to actually get) it’s not worth it.
Would rather ask friends we know if they want to use the available ticket

Seems clear the administration is poor but can someone explain why it wouldn't be legal?
Being able to exchange your unused ticket for credit seems like an upgrade on the previous position to me.

Re: Ticket Exchange
I have just rung the ticket office again to draw their attention to the non appearance of refunds from a couple of games that I was unable to attend and the club had sold my seat to another supporter.
This time instead of waffling on about systems the lady who answered checked my account and then immediately credited it with the outstanding funds. A bit of a palaver but in the end I have a few quid in my account towards away tickets or next season’s renewal, another supporter had the chance to see a match and the club made a few bob which will offset some of the money they have spent on players and lights.
I don’t agree with the sentiments above that it’s not worth it as another fan got the opportunity to watch a game that previously wasn’t possible. I am not sure why anybody is against the club making money as long as it goes on ground improvements and better players.
