Re: Toon v Forest
"Howe and the Newcastle owners and board deserve a lot of criticism for not investing in the playing staff more than they did last summer knowing full well their squad would be stretched with CL, PL, FA Cup and league cup. Shoddy."

You'd think a loss today could be the end for Howe at Newcastle (or near to it).

Re: Toon v Forest
Crazy. What’s the point of having the VAR even look at it?

1-0. Can't say it bothers me if the pen was dodgy.

I'm waiting for them to start awarding pens for making faces at the opposition.

There's two things here:
i) what's best for use
ii) what's fair for both sides in the match

Chris Wood
Re: Toon v Forest
I hate to say it but EH has done a very good job there.
Most of their fans thought they'd have won the World Cup by now thanks to their red oil money but they were in a very tough CL group and the injuries proved too much.

Five goal legend Chris Wood, showing nice respect for Newcastle there by not celebrating.

Bugger.

Eddie Howe defending masterclass
Re: Toon v Forest
We really need Forest to keep getting beaten. Hopefully someone else like a Palace starts dropping like a stone aswell, the more teams we can potentially catch the better.

Spijed might not be a million miles away. They look shocking. Are they even that decimated by injuries? Other than Pope and arguably Barnes, which first team are out? Saudis won’t be standing for this.

Two good goals in the second half but his movement for the first was terrific
