Fewest number of pts at halfway point that stayed up?
Fewest number of pts at halfway point that stayed up?
Just been looking at the stats, looks like West Brom's great escape in 2004/05 season answers this question. 10 points after 19 games, 24 points in remaining 19 games and stayed up with 34 points. Even with my claret rose tinted specs on, I'm struggling to see how we are going to get to that points total. That West Brom side had a good mix of youth and proven PL experience. Keep the faith, you never know. Big turnaround is needed in 2nd half of the season.

There’s been an improvement in recent weeks, but I can’t see us getting the 8/9 wins we need. The losses at home to West Ham and Palace were really damaging. 4/6 points there would’ve made a real difference.
I’m fine with relegation because we’re the second worst team in the league.

9 more wins would make 38 points, plus however many draws we get. I doubt we'll need that many more points. Mind you, i'm not sure we'll get the 6/7 wins that might be a more likely target.

At lot will depend on if we can recruit 2 or 3 experienced players until the end of the season.

We ended up on 40 points that season.

Nuno has an over 50% win rate at every single club he's managed at, the win yesterday was massive for him at Forest. Sadly, I'd be amazed if the bottom 3 aren't comfortably the bottom 3.

That was a miraculous season I'll give you that.
Hopefully we're due another one, do we deserve it though on how we've played so far? We had a lot of unfortunate 1-0 that season where we were in games for large parts of the game.
We've gone behind so early so many times this season and failed to muster a punch in return.
The West Ham game this season was a biggest points blow since the last PL game we played them in 22

Not at Wolves or Spurs. He won more than he lost, if that's what you're saying?Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 6:57 pmNuno has an over 50% win rate at every single club he's managed at, the win yesterday was massive for him at Forest. No way will we win 9 of 19
My guess is six wins and need to scrap some draws

The It was really bizarre yesterday. The team performance in the second half answered all the negative views I have had this season. Every player on the pitch has improved. They seem to be getting stronger every game. I have the feeling 2024 is going to be our year.
