Defence just will not stand up to the requirements of this league consistently. Huge shame.

Of course we don't get a VAR decision. Always.

Our back line all over the place there. Full backs in a different postcode to our centre backs

Taylor is easily playing him on, nowhere near offside.

CT 2 yds behind the rest of the defence playing them onside.
We don't half like to make life hard for ourselves and easy for the opposition.

Defensive coaching is absolutely abysmal. Never, ever in line with each other. Simply not acceptable at this level

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Unfortunately Vitinho remains well out of his depth, done numerous times already and played Watkins onside just then (as did Taylor) which took both our centre backs out of the game. Need to strengthen there.
(I also doubt firm leadership at CB to call the offside trap btw)
Other than that we have done brilliantly against a really good team.

Vitinhio makes too many mistakes.

Berge should’ve also been closer to Diaby following him into the box…

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
7 mins of IT/VAR time!
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
That's why they brought in VAR. They identified a problem that goals were being given when the man was an inch offside, and realised that by introducing 2+ minute delays, by making it necessary to let play go on because the decisions are impossible to do on the field, and by making it impossible to celebrate a goal because there is no proper way to tell, they can solve the problem.
The question is, how much of a problem was it? Do they find that games at lower levels are spoiled because players who appear to be level, might have been an inch offside?
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Delcorix looks like hes just woken up and found himself in the middle of a Premier league game.
Vitinho is equally bad. We may aswell just go for it in this game because theres no way of us getting a result sitting back with those 2 in the back 4

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Delcroix and O’Shea at this level are a frightening partnership. That second goal was a complete calamity from Vitinho not pushing up, to O’Shea going to close down Watkins to delcroix being in no man’s land for the cross.
On a side note, how many goals do we concede from 40-45 mins?!
We have looked very good going forward but yet again it’s the basics letting us down.

Foster looking fitter.

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
How many times have we played reasonbably well and been let down by our gaffe ridden defence letting us down? We shouldn't be losing this.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Berge also picked up a yellow, doesn’t that rule him out of Luton game?

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
I thought the same. Just as I was thinking, "if we can get to HT level!"
Then again, with the amount of VAR/IT time added on, along with our deternination to concede goals, it's actually quite likely we concede just before HT so frequently!
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Looks like we can get in behind them. Unfortunately that works both ways.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Appalling defence. The worst we’ve had at this level.

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Some of our through balls have been laughable too. Overhitting everything.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
The linesman gave Foster offside. The other linesman didn't give Watkins offside. The original decisions rightly stood.

Not sure what Delcroix and O’Shea have done wrong today?
Just seems like easy targets for some?

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
When you go away to Villa, what’s their biggest threat? Watkins running in behind.
What have we allowed to happen time and time again? Yes, you guessed it. Incredible.
