Need some experience at right back in January. I saw someone mention Luke Ayling the other week, exactly that type. He might be 32 and out of favour a league lower but it’s that sort of character and organiser we’re lacking.

Wait - does that mean Berge misses Spurs and not Luton now? I’m clutching at straws

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Berge might have just ended VKs tenure there.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
He doesn’t look too bothered by it, I’m sad to say.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Absolutely stupid
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
That's interesting. Does that mean that he now misses the Spurs game as it's a red?
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?

He has had a very poor game by his standards. Backs to the wall now.

I think you have a valid point.SussexDon1inIreland wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 4:16 pmFoster VAR decision-If it had been Villa it would have been given as a goal
Showing the stills that they chose leaves margins of error at when the ball was touched and clearly where the foot was blurred. It is open to scrutiny and I believe that the people making these decisions are more likley to (naturally) choose moments which show the most likely outcomes that the concensus will accept. The concensus are all subjected to what we are told by the big clubs.
VAR is a tool which gives the big clubs 2 bites at the cherry for every key decision.

Rank stupidity from our best player of the season so far. Especially with such a huge game coming up, one where we need height.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
He could have waited until the last minute to get sent off.
Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Good question. Not sure how it works!jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 4:20 pmWait - does that mean Berge misses Spurs and not Luton now? I’m clutching at straws

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
If Berge is now available for Luton it’s a huge silver lining - though I’d rather he’d done that in the 89th minute.

I’m sure that it’s somehow O’Sheas or Delcroixs fault for Berge’s red

Re: AV we got a thread v Burnley or is this it?
Stupid by Berge but even more stupid that O Shea or Trafford was an easy throw and we just put ourselves under pressure.
Our throw ins have been absolutely tosh all season. Spend 15 seconds trying to find someone.
Rather get a second yellow for a goal saving opportunity than a stupid petulant tug of the shirt.

We were a much more physical side under SD, but never in a season did we have so many suspended before New Year
