If JBG is seen to be the better alternative to Tresor, Larsen and Redmond why have we bothered signing them

I wouldn't say that any of the three you mention would be considered as playing the same role as JBG.

JBG's priority today will be tackle back and shield Vitinho.
Probably.

JBG for set pieces, crosses, and for shape - his D

I don’t trust the others and obviously Kompany feels the same

He’s reliable and can give us a steady 60 +

Steady eddies >> fancy pansies

But all these cries for Redmond. He was free and there was a reason why

I mean - so was Ross Barkley and I bloody wish we’d have had him in our midfield this season..

A bit harsh. Townsend was going to be free also and he is having a fantastic impact at Luton. I'd like to see Redmond start and have an opportunity to show what he can offer us, bar 3 or 4 minutes from the bench after we're already well beaten.

Shame they didn’t give him a three year deal. They could probably sell him for 15-20m on the back of this season.

He’s still got 3-4 years at this level in the deeper role

It seems after the first injury he has been rushed back, due to defence issues, and as such hasn't had the time to fully recover and as a result keeps picking up these niggling injuries.

A month or so out to recover would do him good but due to our lack of options at CB this is not possible.

We seem really happy to play the ball back to JT at every opportunity and they seem just as happy to let us do it.

Wonder why. Almost as though they've watched us.

JT did really well and we had a great break from WO which ends as a corner.

We weren't fooled like Onana was at OT the other day.
