It’s pointless banging on about how well we play and how we deserve this and that when in reality we are having to score at least two a game to get at least a point. The defensive line that finished today would struggle in League 1.
Give over

Watkins, Diaby, Bailey and Jacob Ramsey is a very, very good front four.

It's pointless suggesting our defenders aren't good enough for league one.

Tbf CC pretty much every club in this league has unbelievable front fours.

Look at Forest today:

Hudson Odoi, Gibbs white, Elanga
Wood

Ok - that's someway off a League One side right?

Not to mention, nowhere near the quality of Villa's right now.

Oh I agree that’s an extreme comment. There’s considerably worse defences in the championship.

It was just about your comment about the front four. So many clubs just have unbelievably good front fours now.

Can anybody 100% confirm what match or matches Berge misses after his 2 yellows/1red card.

Regardless of our reaction it’s certainly seems the players are less than happy given Brownhill and Gudmundssons posts on social media.

Isn’t Haaland currently facing a charge from the FA for exactly the same thing?

Honestly not a fan the players and JJ Watt acting out on social media

Not sure how to share them.

But Gudmundsson has shared a video of the penalty decision and loads of laughing faces.

Brownhill has then shared gudmundssons post with a meme (basically suggesting he’s shocked by it).

JJ Watt goes a little further a couple of tweets complaining about referring decisions. One is little harsh where he shares a video of the handball incident and says “just have to figure out if I’m losing it or not, would you call this a handball”

When he refers to he can’t figure out if he’s losing it I wouldn’t necessarily draw the conclusion he’s on about the handball more his investment going up in smoke when the championship arrives as it surely will.

I must admit that’s the first thing I thought when I saw him criticising the ref. Is the pressure getting to him as an investor.

Oh I don’t blame them either, just find it a bit daft when they have seen this season that it results in an investigation from the FA. If it’s results in a match ban or similar it will be very frustrating

Surely JJ Watt is an intelligent enough bloke to understand that investing in a club like Burnley or really any club in England apart from top 6 that there’s a chance of relegation when you invest.
The club has 12 months without tv money, but as investors they still have sellable assets

From what I can tell most clubs in the championship are losing money handover fist (if they spend more than a season in that league).

It’s fair to conclude that he’s really annoyed about the way things are & it’s probably an accumulation of things that have just boiled over into frustration. The results can’t be helping matters.

Quite a lot of clubs have high profile investors nowadays, top of my head there’s Lebron James, Michael B Jordan, Will Ferrel

Fair enough, I have just never seen someone associated to a club react like that.

Today might be a lightbulb moment ,we’re all ****** off a bit like Everton with their points deduction for a change we all think we’ve been wronged VK should have them all in tommorow watch the game again and shout it from the roof tops that everyone’s against us and let’s go to war.

Pretty much every club in the championship made a lost in the championship last season apart from us, we sold 4 players for around 70m and let handful leave on free transfers and then used parachute payment to pay the debt or refinance whatever they did.

You’d imagine or hope the conversation would be that if we went down that as an investor it would just be for 12 months and twist to go straight back up.

I’d hope we wouldn’t have to sell as much to cover the lack of tv money but someone of our players will of played themselves into the shop window even if we do go down

Call it an educated guess based on what I do know about his investment in the club relative to his financial worth and also the way he has interacted as a fan of the club from the day he put money in.

If he or anybody else was worried about his investment you think this is the channel they would use to voice their concerns do you ?

What is wrong with you people?????

It is 100% a handball and a red card!!!

MOTD brush over it!! Imagine if it was against liverpool ManCity Arsenal etc etc that’s a little difficult to do as it never happens!!!!

The word dive was actually used I. Relation to the penalty and still they just move on!!!

Is it me????

It’s corrupt ffs !!! It’s as clear as the big nose on my face!!!!!

The guys played bloody great today and I completely respect the effort they put in!! Sometimes this year I have walked away and thought I have put more effort in than they have!! Today I did not think that for one minute.

The referee and the VAR team should be held to account! It’s corrupt end of!!!

If that makes my comment libellous or slanderous feel free to sue me !!!!

The last games we didn’t play well were Bournemouth (where I suspect the players were jolted by Foster’s illness even though the fans didn’t know), and Everton (where I feel they played the ‘occasion’).

All other recent games we were good, won 2, should have won 4 or 5.

A couple of glaring weaknesses are letting us down though, right back being one, final ball being another. Not impossible to sort that, but unlikely.

A more significant question should be at what point does an individual club decide enough is enough and sue the Premier League for the completely incorrect decisions that are being made which result in clubs being relegated costing millions?????

Oh we been here before havent we with Everton…..

I don’t know about Athens. After Attwell’s performance today, I wouldn’t be bothered seeing a repeat of what happened in Ankara.

Just seen whole game. Best performance this season. Ramsey got some pelters on the match thread at 5.00 pm. Dont think you can blame the young lad for that-it was an horrendous decision, and dont see how he could have got rid of the ball

Call it an educated guess based on what I do know about his investment in the club relative to his financial worth and also the way he has interacted as a fan of the club from the day he put money in.

If he or anybody else was worried about his investment you think this is the channel they would use to voice their concerns do you ?
So an educated guess, so no you don’t. So why have a pop at Newcastle?

What do you know about his investment in the club relative to his financial worth?

I’ll ignore the passive aggressive question.

I appreciate it doesn’t change the result but if I was VK I would want an explanation from Howard Webb about some of those decisions made by the referee, especially the hand ball one.

Just seen whole game. Best performance this season. Ramsey got some pelters on the match thread at 5.00 pm. Dont think you can blame the young lad for that-it was an horrendous decision, and dont see how he could have got rid of the ball
It was a poor decision but it occurred because, for the third time this season, Ramsey was caught in possession in a dangerous area and it cost us a goal.

I agree with OP that we played well today and were on the wrong end of some highly questionable decisions, but unless we cut out the basic errors and learn to defend properly, we have no chance of rescuing this season.

The handball decision is something else. Apart from making it up as they go along the key difference between our nonsense disallowed goal at Forest versus the nothing given against their defender yesterday is one is done by an attacker and the other a defender. It seems as if accidental handball leads to a goal it gets chalked off but if a defender has the accident we play on. Until they firm up the laws of the game and they are applied fairly we will continue to have these things.

Tbf CC pretty much every club in this league has unbelievable front fours.

Look at Forest today:

Hudson Odoi, Gibbs white, Elanga
Wood
Could that be 6?

The 'accidental handball' wasn't even handball at Forest.
The handball to thwart Foster was the most deliberate handball I have seen since Trafford's last save.
