Worrall for Barrow was injured following a clash of heads in the first half and was eventually stretchered off after a long stoppage.Ptangyangkipperbang wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 4:09 pmWhat happened at Wrexham Barrow were winning on 45 mins then found themselves 3-1 down at HT
In the second half the replacement player (Stephenson) also suffered a head injury and was stretchered off after another lengthy stoppage.
Some cracking games and goals today especially at Plymouth. The goal by Finn Azaz worth a second look.
Re: Today’s Football
Bastards 2-2 .
Re: Today’s Football
Said this before - can't see anything but Leicester smashing the total points record, no one seems to be able to beat them now
Re: Today’s Football
The ref Bond had a nightmare there in the sheff weds v Hull game. How was that a red card? Not even a yellow for me.

Wednesday looked dead and buried earlier on this season but they are making a great push to stay up.

I thought only one person was allowed in the technical area but Newcastle seem to have two.

Re: Today’s Football
well over a minute to decide Nunez was offside when with the naked eye you could see it 2 seconds. **** VAR

Re: Today’s Football
It really is becoming a disgrace now this diving about for penalties. That was worse and more blatant than the one against us.
Re: Today’s Football
I’ve said it before that they only need to draw a series of lines square to the pitch and move them towards the players ,anyone who can operate a computer could do that in less than 10 secs ,officials are trying to make it appear more difficult than it actually is,happen so they keep getting big fat paycheques, and why don’t we use the computerised offside like in Europe.?Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:21 pmwell over a minute to decide Nunez was offside when with the naked eye you could see it 2 seconds. **** VAR
Re: Today’s Football
During the interview with Liam Rosenior after the Sheff We’d v Hull match mention was made of the possibility of Zaroury joining Hull on loan but Rosenior declined to acknowledge the substance of that comment. Maybe there’s some truth in that statement!!
Re: Today’s Football
Neville trying to make excuses for him diving,if the first contact isn’t strong enough to break his stride then it shouldn’t be a pen.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:26 pmIt really is becoming a disgrace now this diving about for penalties. Re: Today’s Football
Yes but he did call it a dive. He just explained that he didn't go down initially and decided to go theatrical after another stride. Mike Dean on the other hand called it penalty. Siding with his mates unsurprisingly. What it does show is that any common sense..and what everyone else sees...is not what a referee is being told to see.

Re: Today’s Football
I heard that too. They also mentioned Benson earlier.
Re: Today’s Football
Some games the pundits say that there’s not enough contact for a pen to be given, then in the next breath they’re saying if a player feels contact he’s right to go down.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:35 pmYes but he did call it a dive. Re: Today’s Football
The pitch is apparently covered in grease.
Re: Today’s Football
Some refs were stupid even before VAR ,I can remember Heath had been booked by Uriah Rennie early in the game against Reading ,we were losing 1-0 and Heath was pulled up for offside just as he was about to shoot ,he carried on and shot ,Hislop could have caught it but let it go over the bar,Rennie then gave Heath another card for time wasting.

Liverpool have been all over Newcastle. Should be out of sight.
Re: Today’s Football
Listening to Neville tonight he’s saying that if a player is pulled back but manages to carry on the player doesn’t get booked ,isn’t that what happened to Berge on Saturday?

Not that I'm hoping for a Liverpool win, but Gordon is an outright diving cheat.
One of the worst.

Hopefully Newcastle hold on or grab a winner, but that is some serious old skool Burnley stats, if that was us there would be some people on here ripping us to pieces.

Re: Today’s Football
Yet another ******* dive.
Re: Today’s Football
More cheating from Premier League players and another penalty given. Why on earth does Jota need to dive there? Embarrassing.

Penalty. Correct decision despite what Neville says!
