I like how the BBC have missed our kick off time and just skipped straight to the score, saves me having to watch it.

I can't watch a game on TV when it's Palace at home the dick banging that drum constantly for 90 minutes does my head in.

Whose chuffing idea was it to televise hodgson v dyche?
Two well organised teams cancelling each other out.
Watch it finish 3-3 now..

I can’t see how there isn’t a fall out from VAR and it’s biased use in years to come.

Thought this was the perfect opportunity for the referee to say no, I'm sticking with my decision.

Very rarely happens, it's a joke of a decision.

They've got to stop sending the ref to the screen. Take responsibility themselves, they have all the angles and stills.
I feel it puts too much pressure on the refs.

If you remember bill they didn't use the screen until there was a lot of criticism for not sending the ref to it. Now it's gone too far the other way and does seem to be a fait accompli.
I don't like to see studs up even if no malice is intended.

A lot of decisions are about the referees opinion, but the VAR refs opinion seems to out rank the on field refs.

To be fair he lunged in with studs up, that's dangerous play, that's a red.

Doesn't matter how much contact there was.

I agree with it, might appear soft but thems the rules!

Aren't they telling him (or at least inferring) that he's got it wrong?
Also I feel it could put the ref in a rather hostile situation, obviously near the home fans.

Isn't that the idea. Apparently they should only intervene in the event of "a clear and obvious error", says it all really.

When he slides to retrieve the ball, the opposition player isn't anywhere near.
He approaches from a right angle. How's it supposed to be deliberate?

the bonkers thing about it was the VAR was Craig Pawson, he's highly experienced and that is a huge problem for the PGMOL when their 'top' refs are getting the basics wrong

No way any football authority is going to back down now but VAR has ruined top level football. It’s a much poorer ‘product’ and the decisions are no different.

Every tackle and jump could be seen to endanger an opponent if any contact is made.
Do you really want a non contact game?
It's never a red it's not even a yellow or a foul for me, games gone soft
