So refreshing to see our keeper command his area. Trafford is an immense shoylt stopper but Muric is better for our play

He’s another Weghorst, totally ineffective in this league
I don’t think Amdouni should be starting purely as I think we perhaps need to be more compact, but he’s clearly very talented and has a lot of excellent attributes. He’s another level to the joker that you have compared him to!

Really grown into the half there, Ramsey can’t play in a midfield 2, brownhill for Ramsey for me, zaroury is a player playing with no confidence, he’s got in some good positions and rushed it

Pleased with that. Although we are sloppy at times we looked solid and look a threat on the counter. few players just need to be a bit stronger.

Again if we want to play out he’s the man. If we want a more traditional approach then maybe not.
Haven’t seen us try to play the quick passing from the GK from last season tonight, so not sure how we can draw that conclusion. For 25 mins we’ve been hanging on (not down to Muric, mind).

As I’ve been saying all along, GK makes no difference when we have the outfield performing so poorly.

Good half from us. Had the better openings albeit been wasteful. Ramsey and Cullen competed well in there (far better than I expected), Muric been sound and Delcroix has impressed me.

Maybe one of the few times I’d have liked him to hold on to it a bit later.

Great play to get in to that position though

Thought as team we worked hard for each other. Muric has done well. Just need that bit of luck second half and we could cause an upset.

Amdouni has talent not arguing that. But he’s not suited to this league at all, he is so lightweight and just generally poor on the ball.

Weghorst was more effective

It does a little bit though - when the ball is continuously coming back at us and the keeper hangs on the line then we face more waves of attack.

Having the ball more in the opponents half means we don’t have to defend quite as much.

Great half. Neither side in full flow but we are limiting them and I think with a full team we’d have more control. Still in the cup at HT thats for sure.
I think it's a strange game in that we've looked extremely sloppy in possession and very open to attacks every time they have the ball, but they look completely toothless and unproductive with it (much like we did for many games earlier in the season).
Agree that with a first choice team especially centre midfield we'd be looking much better. They're a different side without Son.

Fair do's, we did much better than i feared, should even be in front, but let's be honest our failings this season have been very much on display again tonight. But good to see Muric, who looks on decent form and we could have done with him all season rather than the understudy. Good to see Zaroury too even if it's not the same player we fell in love with last season.

It'll finish something like 3-0 to Spurs i imagine...

Here you are, the team is playing well so you start digging out players individually at random. You did the exact same last year.

I don’t think writing off a young lad 19 games into a new league is wise. He’s clearly very talented, he might be the best close dribbler iv ever seen in a Burnley shirt and can score goals, needs to be more consistent with his end product which will hopefully come in time.

Saying he offers **** all is just you though, absolutely clueless when it comes to football and nothing but negative about every BFC related.

I’ve actually been impressed with Ramsey tonight. He’s never a CM in a midfield two but you can see glimpses of what he can do, he’ll come good I’m sure, but if Villas deal is anything like Archers is at Sheff Utd, he’ll be back there in the summer if we go down

This is nonsense. He's not set the world alight but you can see he's full of ability. At 23 and with his qualities he's easily up to playing in this league. I think despite what he's shown so far there's a good finisher in there as well.

Rubbish, he set up the chance for himself with a nice one 2 with Zaroury. Created another good opening for Zaroury with nice feet in a tight space on the far left. Almost threaded Foster through after dribbling past 2 Spurs players.

Been keeping an eye on both Foster and Richarlison.
Foster has been a passenger compared to Richarlison who has worked his socks off.

Clearly clueless I identified foster as a talent before we even signed him.

Your pick was dumped out of the club after 6 months haha.

Amdouni is a talented player but this league is just not the right league for him. He lacks the physicality and pace to be affective.

He’s looked good coming for crosses but all of Spurs chances have come from his distribution. Something Trafford gets slaughtered for when doing the same.

Not bad from us, but still can't help feeling it's only a matter of time before something happens down our right. Vitihno cannot defend against genuine quality and Johnson has him all ends up. Ramsey looks dodgy, but tbf he's been given a couple of crap passes under real pressure so not all his fault.
