Sounds like it according to Kompany’s interview. Hope it’s nothing serious. That would be a real blow.

I hope he's okay. He makes such a difference to us.

I would imagine that as he came off at half time, and he was part of the counter attack that got stopped by the half time whistle, it may only be minor and precautionary..

Ludicrous substitution though.

He was clearly holding his left groin walking off the pitch at half time grimacing! , so how is it a ludicrous substitution 🫣 .............would it have been better to "run it off!". The striking options on the bench were only a rapidly on the decline Jay Rod.

I was referring to him being replaced by Brun Larsen.

I thought it was an interesting sub that gave us more energy up front and led us to have more of the game and look a bit more threatening. I agree though it had little overall effect - we created very little.

Looked like a groin to me.....he tried a tackle near half way line & got twisted around.

As long as it is physical injury he will be ok. Hopefully Luton don’t draw tomorrow as that would mean our game v them being brought forward by 3 days

Could we stick to the topic of the thread for once? Injuries are bad news. Full stop. But Lyle really doesn't need physical problems to add to his mental health issues. Let's hope the lighter January fixture schedule helps him and all our injured players.

It's fingers and toes crossed. Without him for any length of time will speed up relegation.

Silly decision to play him and paid the price.

I'm too partisan to have completely given up. Yes, it's highly unlikely we'll stay up but the recent performances of lads like Dara O'Shea who looked completely out of depth added to the return of Lyle Foster makes me think we might still get out of it. I'll accept any flak going but I want to believe and it's my right.

can't see Foster playing against Luton if he as done a injury and that's why i think we will have a striker in on loan as we can't play Larsen there again..
