But when Howe arrived when he got to his first summer window he binned off any senior player and didn't want anything to do with old players, apart from Duff. Carlisle in particular has strong words to say about Eddie Howe's man management, though Eddie was probably enjoying himself to much in the physio room to care.
Yes exactly, which ties in with what CT said about their treatment of Howe. Being strong enough to get rid of them probably saved his career by the sounds of it.
Having players that were taking the p*iss behind the scenes would only have ended badly. He basically put an end to the Coyle area and started the transformation that Dyche benefited from.

Think he was upset that Cotterill never spoke to him to say he wasn't needed. Not really sure why he would.
Didn’t he ring him the night before his wedding?

That might have been it, to confirm he wasnt signing him. I didnt really get the problem, he was out of contract, sounds decent of him to even call him tbh, a lot wouldn't (cough Alan Pace...)

Might be my memory playing tricks, but wasn't the gripe with a fan because he called him "Cotterill" rather than "Steve"?

Yup. This is the correct way around. Think it was someone in the Bob Lord Stand after a televised defeat(possibly that Akinbiyi debut).

Fairly sure it was after an away game at Brighton when he’d been linked with Leicester.
