"Vomit Inducing" Accent.
Brummies, according to one Resident of Aberystwyth.

I personally find a Brummie accent slightly worse than an Essex one

That scouse accent Bradshaw had today in front of the select committee did not do him any favours at all !!

Brummie accent doesn’t bother me really, the Scouse accent makes my skin crawl, genuinely get goosebumps when I hear one mouthing off.
Got a shiver thinking about that then

The Brummie accent, along with the Brizzle one, has a slight comedic element to it.... the scouse accent is like that arsehole teacher scraping his nails down the blackboard.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 8:42 pmBrummie accent doesn’t bother me really, the Scouse accent makes my skin crawl, genuinely get goosebumps when I hear one mouthing off.

I remember going to Dudley for the first time in my early twenties; I drove there for some event and I walked as it started with a panel discussion with some locals. I genuinely thought they were goofing around the way they spoke.
I didn't realise the accent was so strong in ‘Duddlioy’

For me, nothing beats the Roadman/Mandem accent for inducing vomit. Worst accent I've ever heard.

I was watching that particularly grim episode of 24hrs in Custody on Ch4 this week and I must admit, one of the questions I’d have asked the murderer guy was why is a 33 year old man from Bedfordshire speaking like a teenager auditioning for a part on Top Boy.
Although he’d just have ‘No Commented’ me anyway.

Notes on windows. Snowflakes
Used to be firebombing caravans in Wales if you had an English accent. When I were a lad.

Personally I love accents but as Jasper Carrott said about Brummie, “how can 3m people have a speech defect”?

Or the scouse accent, which sounds like it is permanently Phlegm inducing.....
Re: "Vomit Inducing" Accent.
Don't confuse a Brummie accent with a Black Country one. Two separate and distinct entities.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 12:38 amI remember going to Dudley for the first time in my early twenties; I drove there for some event and I walked as it started with a panel discussion with some locals. Tell a Dudley native he's speaking Brummie and see what reaction you get.
