This. Grew into the half and that challenge he made that started us on the attack for the goal was fantastic. Behind Foster he's arguably been out next best player.

I’m not watching the game. But 26 throw-ins seems quite a lot.

Stop Barkley.
Re: Burnley v Luton
No he’s not, you’ve been influenced by commentary. Luton have created nothing at all.

Stop complaining FFS!ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 8:38 pmTerrible half we don’t deserve to be infront, get Brownhill off free kicks and get Vitinho off he’s so weak and bad defensively and don’t get me started on his ‘long’ throw that is just average length that any player could do.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Delivery into the box all season has been shocking wether it be free kicks, corners or open play. And not just Josh.ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 8:38 pmTerrible half we don’t deserve to be infront, get Brownhill off free kicks and get Vitinho off he’s so weak and bad defensively and don’t get me started on his ‘long’ throw that is just average length that any player could do.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Agree completely, barkley has had 2 cross field passes to a bloke 30yards in space that savage creamed about, and a routine 25yarder, other than that he hasn't really done much, let's hope the energy and bite Cullen and Brownhills offer keeps that up.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Ogbene is their danger man. Always in space but fortunately for us his final pass has been poor ……. Unlike Odoberts

Ohh Lyle....very easily should have been a second (possibly a third if we are classing JBG effort in the first half)
Re: Burnley v Luton
We need another 2 goals before they score for me to stop twitching,

Vitinho shoots over.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Vitinho should never be picked again once we get a replacement for him. Zero reason to shoot there.Absolute idiot.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Vitinho earned the right to take a shot. His run and then putting the player on his backside left the space for the shot.

Re: Burnley v Luton
Fair play Vitinho. They were trying to bully Traff at that first corner and Vitty wasn't having it. Shoving three of them away.

Re: Burnley v Luton
Absolute nonsense, Amdouni was completely open to smash something in. It's a team game and you take your best chances, not "earning a chance to shoot".

Yep... seemingly only when its us
Re: Burnley v Luton
Luton's tactics are, get it to get it to Ogbene or to Townsend to throw it in to the back post.

Re: Burnley v Luton
Ekdahl doing very well here. Stepped in nicely so far.
Re: Burnley v Luton
And how many players do you know that would have squared that? It opened up for the shot. Nobody would have moaned if it had hit the back of the net.

Amdouni is class at times and woeful at others. Loses the ball far too easily

Re: Burnley v Luton
When we keep it on the floor we are much better than them. We keep being dragged into the aerial balls and head tennis. It makes it scrappy which plays into their hands.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Remember Sterling/Kane at the World Cup? Same thing, and Kane was rightly lambasted for it there too.
Why try a top corner curling shot from an angle with people in front of you when you can tap it to a team-mate for them to have the whole goal to smash it in at?
Re: Burnley v Luton
Come on yoooooooouu Clareeeeets
Re: Burnley v Luton
Come on Burnley! Some nice things happening this half.

Atmosphere quiet/somber at the Turf (on TV anyway). Hopefully we can gee it up for the lads sake.
Second goal to kill this now, being very protective and egging Luton on. Really don't want a repeat of WestHam and Palace.
Gotta be brave now

JBG has been absolutely gash.
Painful to watch.
But Roberts??? We need flair.
This has been grim viewing. Let's hope we cling on, that seems to be the plan.
