Anyone knows how to make it without putting it in a rice cooker with aluminium foil for 2 weeks?

Try a slow cooker instead. In all seriousness no - best bet is to try and find a big tub of it like the butchers buy in and see if a few friends/family members want to split or you'll end up with litres of it knocking around and a big bill.

I've heard of guys using the heat of their compost heap to get the same result. I just got a crate of homegrown garlic and I'd like to try it but seems like way too much work for something I don't even know what it tastes like 😂

Thanks for the reply anyway.

Go get some black garlic chicken kebabs from your local butchers - tastes wonderful. Be very useful for the one week in summer when we can crack the BBQ out. I'm sure if you have a local deli or up market garden centre near you they'll stock black garlic.
