Young Helm did a similar thing a little while back. He opted to try to make a go of it by moving permanently to Burton and seems to be a regular and doing well. Choosing to try to make a league career in one of the lower two divisions as opposed to playing U21 footy or having numerous loans is definitely a good option when you realise that you may not have what it takes to play at the top. Plus you never know. You could benefit from the experience and be a late developer and still catch the eye of clubs higher up the pyramid.

Just need look at the lad we let go and I think went Scotland and is now at Swansea...cant remember his name though but after putting in the hard work has reached a very good level
