Re: Klopp to leave
Wasn’t expecting that news to be honest. As much as I can’t be doing with him, he’s been one hell of a manager for Liverpool.

Very strange. Surely something has gone on there. He’s got time left on his contract and they’re back challenging this season.

We will all remember the teeth but the job he’s done there in eight years has been outstanding.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 10:58 amThe league will miss those teeth when they are gone

Re: Klopp to leave
Was a character when he first arrived, but has been increasingly miserable as the seasons have gone on. Has looked like he’s not enjoyed it as much recently despite the usual theatrics with the crowd. Surprised by the timing though.
Re: Klopp to leave
He couldn't crack the conundrum of how to get Salah to score against Burnley. Failure. Great entertaining football though.

He is made for the English game. I suspect he will have a year off, after which, I can see Chelsea going all out to get him.

Klopp once suggested he’d be the next Liverpool manager but that’s not going to happen.

50 part series dedicated to him no doubt coming up on every sports channel for the next few months and beyond. Good manager but an absolute tool.

I guess we will find that out when the PL eventually get round to sorting (or not sorting) Man City out.

Re: Klopp to leave
Apparently he got a proper buzz from that impromptu stand up show he did to open the new stand, and he's decided that will be his new career path. Henning Wehn can't do every German comedian slot on tv panel shows.

Re: Klopp to leave
Great manager and character. I personally will miss him.
Fantastic team to watch and would probably have had more trophies if it wasn’t for City’s dominance.
Would make a great England manager.

Re: Klopp to leave
He couldn't get over Barnesy bringing their record home unbeaten run to an end.
He's never been the same since.

Re: Klopp to leave
Done an incredible job there. Im not surprised he's burnt out, the amount of games those top teams play is getting daft and is only going to get worse. Even during this winter break it feels like Liverpool are playing every few days.
Re: Klopp to leave
That should galvanise his squad to deliver the League.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 10:43 amAnnounced he is leaving at the end of this season
Re: Klopp to leave
I actually think this has been in the post for a while. He'd made noises about this before he started rebuilding the team that had done so well.
Some of their more sensible fans were querying whether he'd lost a bit of heart for it after he'd done the lot and they saw it as a matter of when.
Undoubtedly a great manager, bit of an arsehole at times like Mourinho but he's often entertaining and I'd happily tune into him waxing lyrical over somebody who's been media trained and sterilised like say Lampard, Southgate or Howe

Brilliant manager and a proper character. I like the guy and he will be a big miss.
I suspect most people who dislike him will do so because he clashed with A previous manager or ours.

When he first came to the Premier League, I really rated him. Thought he brought a freshness and personality to management. More recently though, I've found him to do a lot more complaining, almost at every opportunity. Not sure if that was stress related. He'll be a big miss for Liverpool and a tough man to replace.

Re: Klopp to leave
Agree wholeheartedly he’d be great for England.
Imagine these players being managed and coached by a fella who actually knew how to send a team out to try to win a game! We’d be unstoppable.
Won’t miss the whinging get tho… laughing and joking and everyone’s best mate when they’ve won, and absolutely whiny little **** and ignorant when they’ve lost. Grown as tired of him as I did of Mourinho.

Re: Klopp to leave
Nobody is irreplaceable but as Man Utd have found it it can be very hard, I'd be gutted if I was a Liverpool fan. How many times have we beaten him ? I can think of twice, the 2-0 at home and the 0-1 away.

Re: Klopp to leave
A hell of a manager, he turned the club round in his image without spending the stupid sums others have.
An excellent advocate of giving young talent a chance, he's not half the demon some on here cast him as.
