Maidstone was one of my most memorable ever away days. We arrived for the fourth division fixture to find only one chippy…

The poor south Asian girl unused to the accent exceedingly rare could not understand the lad at the front wanted a chip butty… after a long discussion about words for bread… the lad thought he had a lightbulb moment…. I wonder what they will see as a great fixture. They are not going to get the 'easy home game' scenario so I expect they might be looking for a trip to a big ground to make some more money out of it.

If you offered them Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd or Newcastle away I think they'd snap your hands off. Semi-pro club, the money would make a massive difference. Currently 5th in NLS and pushing for promotion, this run might allow them to sign a couple of players in the last few days of the transfer window.
