Blackburn v Wrexham
Re: Blackburn v Wrexham
Szmodics is a decent player but certainly has a face you'd never tire of thumping (not as I'm condoning violence in any way but I'm sure you know what I mean)

How did the protests go?
Did Rovers fans get the exposure they planned to get and did they display the banner?

They decided to tone it down about, maintain their dignity and get a banner that focused on what was really important to them.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 9:55 pmHow did the protests go?

Re: Blackburn v Wrexham
No doubt they will, be surprised if someone not in for him this window, or definitely in the summer, every chance he could hit 30 for the season, and not even a striker apparently.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 8:20 pmsurprising some of the bigger championship sides haven't tried to sign Szmodics, he's been a very good signing for them sadly
Re: Blackburn v Wrexham
Have the Venkys got a policy that they dont deal with us? It seems strange that we never seem to even be linked to their top players, the last player to go between the 2 that i remember is Andy Todd on loan.

Re: Blackburn v Wrexham
Would you want any of their current players, though?
Re: Blackburn v Wrexham
Yes if it was up to me. Adam Wharton would have been brought in for big money in the Summer.
But it just seems strange in general that weve never been really strongly linked with some of the good players theyve had since weve been a Premier League club..Brereton, Gestede, Josh King, Ashley Phillips, Ben Marshsall, Wharton etc etc. Some of them look perfect for a Dyche side so it just made me wonder if its coming from the Venkys themselves.

I honestly don’t think the Venkys know who we are, let alone care enough to put in transfer sanctions against us

I liked both of them in Clarets shirts. From memory McEverley was injured in his first couple of games cutting the loan short, but looked to be a decent player for that level.
