Burnley Badge Tattoo
Well - I have threatened my Wife over getting a tattoo for years, and on New Years Day I committed to this being the year. She remains dubious I have it in me to actually follow through, which has actually made me more determined to stop procrastinating and get it done. I intend to get it at the top of my right shoulder, but living in Chesterfield it would seem silly to have it done round here as opposed to somewhere used to the intricacies of the badge and so on, so I want to try and have it done in Burnley.
I am sure there must be many on here who have had this done before, so wondered if anyone has any opinions on where is best locally these days and so on? Cheers.

Timing may not be the best, as others have said in other threads the owners may change the club badge, or at least rebrand the badge on certain shirts.

I know that as soon as I get a Burnley tattoo, the club will suddenly be uncovered as the centre of a decades-old sex trafficking organisation with all the hidden clues in the emblem itself of all the horrible crimes that have taken place in its design.

I was booked in for a lostprophets tattoo once.... that was swiftly changed!claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:24 pmI know that as soon as I get a Burnley tattoo, the club will suddenly be uncovered as the centre of a decades-old sex trafficking organisation with all the hidden clues in the emblem itself of all the horrible crimes that have taken place in its design.
Also two of my friends own Blue Cardinal in Todmorden. not Burnley but they'd 100% sort you out.

Yeah I get the concern there - to be honest I am comfortable with that happening if it does, it will always be a Burnley badge (just as I would be content having the badge I grew up with in the 90's to be honest).superdimitri wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:21 pmTiming may not be the best, as others have said in other threads the owners may change the club badge, or at least rebrand the badge on certain shirts.

Blimey , hoping you don't get a tattoo any time soon thenclaptrappers_union wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:24 pmI know that as soon as I get a Burnley tattoo, the club will suddenly be uncovered as the centre of a decades-old sex trafficking organisation with all the hidden clues in the emblem itself of all the horrible crimes that have taken place in its design.

Talk to real, talented artists and see what they can do. There’s far too many really poor tattoo shops out there.
This may come as a bit if a shock, but those who don’t have tattoos, those people that do really don’t care about your opinion of them. Neither do they have to give a reason for having them.

Doubtful that is pal. Bees for industry and right hand for hard graft?claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:24 pmI know that as soon as I get a Burnley tattoo, the club will suddenly be uncovered as the centre of a decades-old sex trafficking organisation with all the hidden clues in the emblem itself of all the horrible crimes that have taken place in its design.
The Manchester clubs may have difficulties in future though from the wokies, with the boats on their crests depicting the ship canal and its links to slavery. World has gone mad.

Just get one of Jimmy Adamson standing with his foot on the ball in the 1959/60 kit with the hooped socks.jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:40 pmYeah I get the concern there - to be honest I am comfortable with that happening if it does, it will always be a Burnley badge (just as I would be content having the badge I grew up with in the 90's to be honest).
Underneath have the words: Burnley FC Champions of England. Timeless!

I got my done from a bloke called Ozzy in his kitchen in Nelson when I was 15.
Not sure if he's still in business but he did a good job. Only issues are he wrote 'Burnley FC' instead of 'Burnley Football Club' and the lions look more like yellow badgers.
Smart tattoo.

I got the old Burnley badge on my leg roughly 5/6 years ago at Cats Cradle Tattoo Studio in Rawtenstall by Holly. Wouldn't go anywhere else now personally.

Re: Burnley Badge Tattoo
My advice about 'wearing the club badge on your arm' is to get a transfer put on! It can ve renewed as you go, so always up to date.
Personally, not for me.

Insist on having sight of COSHH and Chemical Data Safety Sheets for the inks to be used. Toxic ink slow absorption can cause damage to; brain , kidneys, liver, etc. Worst inks are from China and USA. The whole industry is vastly under-regulated.jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 3:13 pmWell - I have threatened my Wife over getting a tattoo for years, and on New Years Day I committed to this being the year. Re: Burnley Badge Tattoo
I know they're not to everyone's taste and tbf they were never really to mine, but on reaching my 60th birthday 6 years ago I decided I'd nail my colours to the mast (as they say) and get one on my lower leg. It's the new Burnley badge and it's not huge and it was really well done and in fairness I really rather like it. Also turns out it's a good conversation starter with other (sensible) fans on holiday and the like. The wife hates it btw, although I think that's because if I was going to take the plunge she wanted it to have some reference to her!! Deluded!!!

Re: Burnley Badge Tattoo
I have the new badge on my lower leg. It looks like my skin has ripped and beneath is the Burnley badge. I love it.
I also have the club badge from the 80’s/90’s on my upper arm. Still love it.

Not going to judge someone doing something to their body that they want BUT
maybe just an anecdote, but I've noticed that there's been a bit of shift in media away from heavily tatted/tanned sort of types of the 2010s.
Could be wrong, but the odd time TV is on/even YouTube now I'm just not seeing the same imagery - anyone else noticed?

Re: Burnley Badge Tattoo
Talking Tatts always reminds me of the Newcastle fan who had a beauty of Andy Cole done on his calf only for them to sell him 2 days later to Manure.
