They are the managers back 4. He’s the 1 who thinks we didn’t need better full backs this season. This defensive shambles is down to his players.KRBFC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:01 pmLook at our back four
Vitinho Dara Ekdal Al Dakhil
I think AAD will be a good player but he’s a mistake waiting to happen this season, Ekdal turned into Maldini whilst he wasn’t playing for a stick to beat VK with.
The cold hard reality is, collectively and individually 3 of these four are not good enough. You can cry all you want about last seasons players not playing but we’ve all seen the evidence why.

. City are the best team in the world, they hammer far better sides than us regularly. Par for the course, we were 30/1 to win ffs.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 7:58 pmHonestly watching these lads stroll around the pitch in our current position tells me they don’t give two shits either.
We can bang on about quality all you want but you just wouldn’t see Luton roll over and show there stomachs like our lads are right now
Dyche sides used to get pumped 5 or 6 every time, nothing has changed, they’re miles better than us and don’t even have to get out of first gear.
You can let it get you all angry, I’ve learnt to accept heavy defeat at the Etihad instead.

The spirit and fight has been dismantled through disastrous man management, team selections and recruitment.
It's an embarrassingly bad season that should have been a united Burnley fighting like mad and going at it.
I have seen enough now and it's just miles off a unit that are playing together with cohesion. It's disheartening, disenfranchising and quite frankly, dog ****.
Oh and having that backline tonight absolutely highlights how shite our business has been.
No closing down, no tackles, no running.
Just simply going through the motions

Trafford very slow.
Re: Thread for tonight?
But nobody likes being a hindsight henry, the only way to find out if Ekdal Vitinho AAD were good enough for this level is to give them a shot. We’re also missing two of the first choice in Taylor and Beyer so this isn’t our first choice defence.

I know we've got a few out but I thought the decision to go with 2 in the middle today was a bad one.
Amdouni should have come out and I'd have added the extra midfielder personally.

I have to say fair play to the fans that went tonight, last time i went to city was 2021. When you think that over the last 10 games weve conceded 35 goals and scored only 1 in reply. Thats some commitment and deserves applauding

We haven't played well. Very soft goals, but City have taken their foot off the gas.
A couple of decent performances, but too many completely absent. Looks like Berge is virtually playing in the back line.

It’s the the equivalent of us playing Huddersfield at home.
They create a great atmosphere in big games against United, Liverpool etc
Re: Thread for tonight?
Nowt to do with hindsight is it? Vitinho wasn’t even a regular in the league below, and now he’s our first choice right back. Same as Taylor on the other side. So who’s fault is it that they’re now our first choice full backs?

Dyche sides took an absolute 5 or 6-0 tonking away at City too, I didn’t criticise then and won’t do now.
It is what it is, inevitable hammering unfortunately. I can’t get angry at us conceding goals at the Etihad anymore.
