Not really a fan of such stats, but I did notice at least 4 or 5 attempted kicks out went straight to a city player last night, lost patience with it then my BP was on the rise so didn't look for any more.

Re: Team for Fulham
Amazes me that the Trafford / Muric debate gets so much air time. Particularly when Amdouni, who also plays week in and week out, and contributes far less than Trafford has done in games, seems to be a lesser issue, with most people (though I’m seeing a few more wanting him dropped now).
There’s definitely a player in Amdouni, but for whatever reason, it’s not working. He’s not learning to pick the right options, passing when he should shoot, shooting when he should pass, falling over his own feet, losing possession and not really supporting the striker or helping out defensively.
He’s a real quandary and until we find a way to get the most out of him and work at his faults, he needs some time on the bench.

Aren’t Beyer and Taylor injured still? Strange how posters keep putting them in the team.

Looks like you’ve done what VK does when he picks the subs ,picking them out of a hat,I reckon you may be in the minority by picking Amdouni and Vitinho ,and Odebert has only had an off night against City so I reckon he should keep his place .Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 4:05 pmBear with me...

Nice to see people putting Massengo in their line-ups.....from what little i've seen, he looks confident and assured. We've been desperate for a decent midfielder since Defour left.* & we have little to lose at this stage.

Difficult one to have a go at today, not sure either of the newbies starts plus not really sure who's available, sounds like one of Taylor, Beyer or Delcroix might be back in the squad.
Trafford (I think he has improved recently and we're at the point where we might as well stick with him now)
Vitinho O'Shea Esteve Al Dakhil
Berg Brownhill
Fofana JBG Odobert

Re: Team for Fulham
Muric might not keep us up .. the damage is done but he would improve the team IMO .. the difference when Muric kicks out it’s not a hopeless ball in the air but a quick pin point pass to feet … hoofing it upfield might be ok in division 1 but it won’t work in the premier league

Trafford
Ekdal. Esteve. O’Shea
Assignon. Cullen. AAD
Brownhill. Berge
Fofana. Foster
5-3-2 to try to stop us conceding more than 2 goals per game whilst maximising the potential pairing of Foster and Fofana up top. I am aware that AAD at left back isn’t ideal but I’m assuming Taylor is out injured for a while yet. I’m also aware this leaves out Odobert, but I feel he is very raw and whilst he is very talented, needs must right now.
I am also aware that the above selection won’t happen so here is what I think he’ll go with.
Trafford
Assignon. Ekdal/O’Shea. Esteve. AAD
JBG. Brownhill. Berge. Odobert
Amdouni
Foster
It will be interesting to see if the new players start, which I think they should.

Re: Team for Fulham
I agree with most of that. And it's rare that I go so leftwing with my suggested teams. But hear me out
I think Odobert has been superb. But probably had more offcolour games than just City. And he'd be a great player to bring on.
Fofana and Foster would really provide physicality up top, and can both play centrally or wide, and give Amdouni a chance to flourish. I know Amdouni has awful on Wednesday, but in the right circumstances, I think he really would be superb.
Vitinho has been hit and miss, yes. But he can play left. Gets up and down. And would provide some balance for a back 3.
I think a back 3 could suit us, if we balanced it elsewhere. If Brownhill and Berge sat deep mostly, it would get the full backs pushing high, and reduce the need for specific wide men. Assignon looks more like a right winger than a full back in the reels I've seen, so we probably need some protection if he plays. AAD RCB could be this.
In reality, I wouldn't pick this team if I was VK. Its too much of a gamble. But I'd be tempted to work on this going forward

Re: Team for Fulham
The decision to drop Muric and play Trafford from the off this season was a mistake in the same way that we should have started with the feel good factor and continuity of last year championship winning team that had won the Premier league place and deserved the right to keep or lose their place in the team and then the new players should have been integrated in.
Reminded me of Dyche putting the players that had won the European place, maybe their only chance to play at that level, on the bench, it backfired and the league form suffered too.
