Let’s be brutally honest there wouldn’t be a single person on this page defending the manager if his name wasn’t Vincent Kompany.

Brian laws was better

He did so well for us so suddenly last season, when in the summer I truly expected mid table with an outside chance of playoffs at best, such was the rebuild, that I'd give him til at least the November international break next season whatever happens.
But I have to admit he's done some baffling things every game this season.
Ekdal has been poor today and Vs City but I can't for the life of me understand why at no point we've tried the Music/Beyer/Ekdal triad that looked so good last season, not once.
Can't see what he sees in Ramsey/Tresor over Benson/Zaroury as bench options
Don't understand why we put all our eggs in the Maatsen basket in the summer and failed to remedy it in Jan.
I'm still Kompany In but I am worrying at his ability to learn and his way of perceiving things.

Created more goalscoring opportunities than anyone in the team all season, or had until recently.
I agree he's got no pace and I prefer him as a central playmaker now. But that says more about where we're at than him.
