Maybe we should pitch in to buy him in the summer just to pee the Fiddlers off! Sounds like a decent prospect anyway for around £5 million including add-ons

" Royboyclaret " ... are the Venkys London Ltd/ Blackburn Rovers Football & Athletic Ltd Directors now getting towards the stage of being subject to accusations of " Conducting Business whilst knowingly trading insolvently " ?Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 7:36 pmSimply a ridiculous situation that was allowed to play out with the player.
After 14 years of propping up the club Venky's knew full well at that date that finance was unavailable to complete the transfer and, for that matter, any future transactions in the immediate future.
For years now both sets of accounts have included paragraphs indicating that future financial support from India should and could be relied upon. Now there are real question marks over the owners ability, if not wish to provide that support ..

Just to clarify, I'm in little doubt that the financial support to Blackburn by Venky's has diminished. However, in terms of financial assistance outside of of India, circumstances will soon be very different.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 8:24 pm" Royboyclaret " ... are the Venkys London Ltd/ Blackburn Rovers Football & Athletic Ltd Directors now getting towards the stage of being subject to accusations of " Conducting Business whilst knowingly trading insolvently " ?

The recent potential transfer was a complete fiasco and should never have been allowed to develop, as internal debates were coming to a conclusion at the time.
All of this leaves Blackburn in in complete finanancial mess having relied TOTALLY on Venky's for some 14 years.....They are literally now on the financial precipice if their owners are no longer allowed to plough in the annual £20m to which they have been accustomed. All now hinges on the final decision from the authorities in India, but all indications suggest that the outcome for Blackburn is not favourable.

Be interesting to hear from Chester Perry regarding the latest financial developments in India, these will be crucial to the very future of Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
Not looking good for our neighbours.

Re: Blackburn......
I bet Sheff Wednesday are furious. I suppose Blackburn have found a way stopping relegation rivals signing players, though.
Lure players away at the last minute with a better offer, but don’t click the ‘submit’ button on the registration portal and leave everyone in limbo.
I wonder if anyone has any scope to take legal action. Orlando with a transfer fee, the players signing on fee and wages, the agent, SWFC…? The taxi driver is the only winner.

Didn't Leicester have one of these a few years ago, and were forced to sign the player but couldn't play him for half a season?claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 10:47 pmI bet Sheff Wednesday are furious. Re: Blackburn......
Call me " Mr Cynical " if you wish, but perhaps a £2m donation by Venkateshwara Hatcheries Private Ltd. to the coffers of the BJP, the political party of Mr Modra, the Indian Prime Minister, may help circumvent some of these issues ..Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 8:44 pmJust to clarify, I'm in little doubt that the financial support to Blackburn by Venky's has diminished. Even more cynical is the view that Madame Desai, the Chairperson, is happy to allow the legal dispute to be a convenient reason to stop p*****g away £20m a year on her two younger brothers vanity project, after spending nearly £240m over the last 13/14 years. " We'd love to help but our hands are tied, regrettably you must, in the interim, cut your cloth accordingly ! "
From the Indian Government point of view, they would perhaps rather see funds stay in India and help fund sanitation projects in Rural areas ( 55-60% of Indians still defecate in the streets or fields ), rather than support an entity who pays men obscene fortunes to kick a ball around a field ...

taxi-calculator.com quotes me £175. Probably reimbursed in Club Shop vouchersBlackburn reimbursed Megaloudis for the cab, offered the contract, and with 100 minutes to go before the deadline, all parties had signed. McGuire was Blackburn’s newest player.

Re: Blackburn......
Submitting necessary paperwork has never been a problem for ALK.
But back to Venkateshrawa Hatcheries Ltd........For 14 years they have injected north of £300m into Blackburn Rovers.......What exactly have they gained from this?........this latest intervention from the Indian authorities will surely be a blessing in disguise for the Venky's.
As for the immediate future for Blackburn Rovers?.......they will be bricking it.

Re: Blackburn......
I can think of at least two occasions, one where CJ Egan-Riley missed the initial opportunity to go on loan to PSV due to an admin error. Another time was when the club was punished with a transfer embargo over not submitting accounts.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 11:40 amSubmitting necessary paperwork has never been a problem for ALK.

Re: Blackburn......
It is all down to the whims of Narendra Modi in reality - the iron grip he has on the country and the ruthlessness in which he is willing to exercise his power is similar to those of his BRICS stable mates in China, Russia and Saudi (now that they have joined the group). Modi's focus is on strengthening India for India (and by that he tends to mean Hindu India) and does not care if there are casualties along the way, witness what is happening with Muslims and to a lesser extent Sikhs and Catholics in the country of the fears of Shompen people's genocide in regards to the huge military and commercial plans India has for the Nicobar Isles, which are many times closer to Malaysia and Thailand than they are to India.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 2:59 pmBe assured not ALK......probably best to add little else on here.

Interestingly what we are seeing in that state intervention/acts from foreign powers creating problems for clubs owned by nationals of those states, rather than problems caused for competitors by middle eastern states that own European clubs by proxy - So not only do we have our friends down the road, but also to a lesser extent Reading and West Brom before we even consider the situations at Everton and Chelsea, all resulting from internal political policy changes, with the latter of course extending to an act of illegal invasion and war
as for the ALK thing I probably need to find a way of getting in touch

Little wonder then that leading players at VH Ltd are showing serious concern, Blackburn Rovers being just a little further down the line. After 14 years it will hit them like a ton of bricks, even if they care not to admit it.

I've never seen anybody look as disinterested in the manager's job as Tomasson did the other day. He may as well have been wearing a sandwich board saying 'please sack me'. Clearly that would cost money though... He actually comes across as a decent bloke, so I'm hoping he finds himself at a better club soon.

Re: Blackburn......
isn't that in relation to the interview he gave Saturday post game, when JDT said he offered to walk away from his contract without compensation last summer because of the changing situation re Venky's finance. The club asked him to stay then and as JDT kept repeating - "that was last summer" in a seeming reference to walking away without compensation. It was obvious that the usual mild-mannered JDT was not a happy soulclaptrappers_union wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 4:39 pmHmmmm.... no smoke....

Think they’ll regret Tomasson going but still it’s great to see it going so wrong for them. They’ll probably appoint David Dunn next.
