Removal of their team manager is the very least of their current worries.

They are in serious trouble. If JDT goes, then who would come in?

It's basically a firefighters role to the end of the season, I'm glad Warnock took the role at Aberdeen

5 points off QPR with a game in hand, I'd be really worried if I was them. Szmodics out injured now as well

BREAKING NEWS:

John Dahl Tomasson is not leaving Blackburn. Despite him looking ready to walk away, the club accidentally extended his contract till 2040 instead of terminating his current deal. John Dahl Tomasson cannot have his contract terminated for a year because of a clause ...

Someone pressed save instead of delete on the contract negotiation

Or better still they pull off their Venkys mask to reveal it’s actually Barry Kilby in disguise, gone undercover to destroy them from within

Leaked CCTV has emerged of senior Blackburn players meeting fan groups today. Blackburn's DOF was present and has basically told the fans not to protest because it has a negative effect on the players. The players don't look like they want to be there and it seems to have been a disaster all-round.

It seems everyone at the club from the Venkys, to the DOF, to the chap running the club day-to-day on Venkys behalf are absolutely clueless. It almost makes me feel sorry for their fans.

...but not quite ;) :)

The chief exec, Waggott, was the best thing since sliced bread when he restricted our ticket allocation last season. Life comes at you fast.

To be fair the one person I feel some sympathy for is Jon Dahl Tomasson ...

He signed a 3 year deal on the same day we appointed Vincent, saying "I'm really proud and excited to be taking over as head coach of Blackburn Rovers – a club with a lot of tradition and also great ambition ", perhaps not realising that 5/6 of their FA Cup wins came when goals didn't have nets and Goalkeepers wore the same shirts as outfield players and were identified by wearing a cap !

He's tried to get them to play an attractive style playing out from the back & seen their top-scorer refuse to extend his contract & leave for nothing. He's had virtually no investment, had his playing budget sliced and been royally let down in the transfer window by the club's incompetence, at least three times .. Still he's soldiered on, largely smiling. I understand he's invested his career earnings well and is " not without ", and he's offered to walk away at least twice, with no compensation ... He seems a decent bloke to me !

Genuinely, what are they protesting about?

Outside looking in, the Venkys are the only thing propping them up financially. Without them they’re completely screwed.

Bstards wanting rid of the Venkys is like a cripple throwing his crutch away, stupid.
Hopefully when it goes to court in India the judge will look at the protests with their anti Indian sentiment as well and won't let the Venkys put another penny into the black hole of Ewood and ensures the money goes into the Callcuta black hole for the benefit of the impoverished Indians.

Glen Mullan :D :D :D

"I engaged with India" as it did not smell nice "India ignored me"... what a deluded grade A prick he still is.

Here is an idea for their banner, why don't they have one made up that says "RELEASE THE DOSSIER GLEN" the club he claims he cares about so much and still he sits on it not willing to release it as it could bring the Venkys down.

What a deluded bunch, the Venkys have kept them afloat and stopped them dropping down to their natural level of a third division club as did Walker now instead of saying thank you to the Venkys and wishing them well for everything they've done for them they are screaming and sulking like some spoilt brat whose great aunt has stopped his monthly allowance as she needs the funds to pay for care.
Shame on them, come on judge and the Venkys turn the life support off.

It's easy to manipulate fans; give an hour or two to invite them in, plop them in front of some players and let them whinge, take their ideas ‘on board’ and send them away with a lollipop.

Their notion of self-importance and superiority on social media will give them grief from the rest of the fan base, and the in-fighting commences.

It’s a mess and looks to be getting worse. They’ve papered over the cracks for a while now but you wonder how much of that has been down to having decent managers in Mowbray and JDT.

Let’s be honest, we’d be at our wits end after so long under that ownership model.

a few things here

a number of fans will always be vocally disgruntled about a status quo that does not match their expectations or is less than what they had become used to - we shave seen it many times down the years, even the final years under Garlick, and to some extent this season.

It is difficult to argue that Venkys - or more specifically the Rao family have been good owners, when the only two positives they have overseen is the maintenance of the Academy and a willingness to cover financial losses within managed parameters. All other decision making has been consistently woeful including losses of executives and appointments of their replacements, before we talk about their questionable relationships with agents. Fans of any club would be up in arms about that over such an extended period.

If their natural place is the third tier, where does that place us in the natural order

It's a good appointment, though I think he could do better with a more ambitious Championship club if he bided his time... unless he's been told the Wharton money can be used in the summer.

Feeling a bit sorry for JDT; obviously, there were a few broken promises along the way. However, the way he set his side up against us last season made it one of our easiest home wins of the season, and I think he completely underestimated the occasion.

The Premier league, we have achieved everything without benefactors subsidising us for decades. We have bought and sold well, managed expectations and utilised our solid football town ethos.

interestingly enough our first two promotions to the Premier League were achieved with the help of loans and share capitalisation from board members

well managed - yes for the most part under Garlick and maybe now, but we certainly needed additional contributions, including external loans for the club to operate for the most part of the last 3 possibly 4 decades and are back there now with the factoring of Premier League monies and transfer fees

Blackburn along with Bolton, Preston and Burnley are all clubs of a similar size whose rightful place in the league structure is probably The Championship. We have been the most successful club by far over the last decade or so and long may it continue but history shows that it will change sometime in the future. Even when Preston were chanting "We are superior" or Bolton fans were goading us about being 10 years ahead of us the vast majority of fans from these clubs acknowledge that we are all clubs of a similar size and at any time the tables could turn. It possibly helps that we have all spent time in the bottom tier whereas Balckburn have only spent the odd season in the 3rd tier over the last 50 years or so.

Because they had a very short period of success the idiot fanbase from Rovers genuinely believed that they were superior to all of their close Lancashire neighbours and were on an equal with Man Utd and Liverpool. I am loving watching the shambles at Ewood and find the views of their self entitled, arrogant and delunded fans hilarious. Long may it continue. To the National League and beyond. With a bit of luck they may go lower than Stockport and stay there even longer.

The share capitalisations were rewarded when the club was sold, director loans were indeed paid back with interest (but only when in receipt of Premier League monies.

The point is, that the club, like many others was subsidised for years, just at different levels and that in part was down to the relative wealth of the owners. Many would love the club to have a Jack Walker/Tony Bloom/Mathew Benham type benefactor who not only put a lot of money in, but also was smart with appointments and spending to achieve relative on-field success while dramatically improving the whole infrastructure of the club. Walkers only failing was that he could never make his spending sustainable - like Eddie Davies and indeed Roman Abramovich.

He's gone according to the Telegraph.

"He brought an identity to the club but divorce was inevitable."

It was a Thursday decision on the American. Still waiting. Reads like they have no chance but I still want it official to watch the fall out.

a few things here

a number of fans will always be vocally disgruntled about a status quo that does not match their expectations or is less than what they had become used to - we shave seen it many times down the years, even the final years under Garlick, and to some extent this season.

I do think tbf the have, or someone they have in charge has appointed 2 good managers and possibly 3 if useless takes over.
