and they lost their McGuire appeal as well
Re: Blackburn......
I don’t buy the “admin error”
This is such a rare occurrence when you consider the number of transfers, 3 times in 2 years?? Not a chance. The money is drying up big time and they pulled it.

Re: Blackburn......
I would quite happily see us relegated back to the championship for a season to watch these cretins slide into almost oblivion, and I’m 74 ,still haven’t recovered from the bastards getting a penalty on the Turf in the FA Cup,hold a grudge ? Moi of course I do.

Re: Blackburn......
The cynic inside me suspects their interests were more stopping a direct relegation rival strengthening than actually signing the player.

If I was McGuire I’d be telling them to shove their ‘pre contract agreement’ where the sun doesn’t shine.

That would be fantastic. If Carlsberg did the football results - Turds 0 Potters 1 ( McNally 90+7 ).

Hopefully not. Don’t want them getting any new manager bounce vibes. Let him stay, there’s a chance he could get them relegated.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 8:23 pmHas JDT gone? Quite a few media outlets saying he has but not confirmed anywhere

That talksport clip on the last page says that he said good bye to the players yesterday and they were given a day off today whilst the divorce was negotiated.

If you have a billion then it's like losing 80m. Depends why you lost it and if it continues as to whether it is any sort of problem surely?

Re: Blackburn......
Nope...look at the chart...the fall occurs over the last single day.
I guess it could be following a big ex-divi date maybe, but it'd have to be a whopping payout to generate such a big leveller.

Re: Blackburn......
I note the current company value appears (to my uneducated eyes) to tot up to around £250m.... which suggests they're far from the financial behemoth, running into the tens of billions, that has been suggested.

Some of the fans calling him Useless Eustace already.
Re: Blackburn......
35 minutes between the announcements. It should have been 3 days, but someone hit the wrong button.
Re: Blackburn......
Shame.....he come across as a decent fella.
Re: Blackburn......
Whenever I here the word "Eustace" it always reminds me of a Sci-Fi novel "Next of Kin" by Eric Frank Russell I read as a kid

Didn't Stan once try to sign John Eustace for us?
Re: Blackburn......
Risky appointing Eustace who has a really limited amount of managerial experience at any decent level.
It goes without saying I hope he bombs.

Re: Blackburn......
Looking at their run-in further up the thread, he's going to need all of any managerial skills he has to stop their downward slide.
Let's hope we're soon calling him Agent Eustace.

Re: Blackburn......
With the way that went we might as well have waited until deadline day to sell him.claptrappers_union wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 9:56 pmThe thing with that is that he was signed early in the window. Newcastle could've activated his release clause on Deadline Day. Instead, we were given time to find a replacement in Weghorst.
Re: Blackburn......
I think you're right with this.
Re: Blackburn......
Anyone familiar with the Chronicles of Narnia books might remember elderly Trumpkin saying "The boy's useless?" on being introduced to Eustace. Prophetic, perhaps?
Re: Blackburn......
Totally different style of play to the departing manager, if the players couldn't hack playing out from the back after nearly 2 years of his coaching and signing players to play that style I doubt very much they'll adapt to Eustace's more direct style. I think it will be like when Jones went to Southampton.
