Only 3-4 of the starters today were involved last season. I get that we're in a whole different league now but I can't accept that that the players we've brought in are better players. Poor recruitment and too many changes, compounded by lack of leadership, grit and baffling selections.

Premier League teams would still walk through a midfield two of Berge and Brownhill.

We need a tough, physical midfielder in there.

OPs team would get ripped to shreds at the back. Tella and Odobert don’t win enough ball and Maatsen still isn’t a FB so we would hardly ever have it.

If indeed VK had a 75-100milllion budget then Beyer Tella Harwood Bellis and maybe Maatsen should have been our signings
Not sure how much would have been left to spend but I think we have a poorer defence than last year and that starts at the keeper.
If we did shell out £20 million then I think that was our first of many mistakes

It would get absolutely annihilated, for the same reasons the current one is.

Two attacking full backs, a midfield that has barely got a tackle in it and four forwards. What could possibly go wrong?
