Thoughts and prayers with the King and I hope he fights this horrible disease like young Hughie (and his best mate Freddie) who rang the bell today.

They haven't revealed what kind of cancer he's got. So it's difficult to be sure how he'll fare.

As he's just had an enlarged prostate operation, it's likely to be prostate cancer.

Sounds as though it was discovered by chance whilst the King was undergoing tests and treatment for his prostate condition.
A disease that can seemingly affect anybody and appear almost anywhere in our bodies and vital organs.
Knowing that he will be receiving the best possible treatment, hopefully he will be able to make a full recovery and return to his normal duties.

So we would be sure of the outcome if we knew?

Why not just leave him alone

Because obviously different cancers are more treatable than others. I wish the bloke well whatever kind of cancer he's got as I would do with any human being.

Excellent to hear the news of the young Hughie, hopefully the King will be doing the same.

Cancer is an awful disease, I truly hope we aren’t far away from smashing it.

Not sure that the media circus will be leaving this off the front (and inside) page(s).
The Palace say they do not want any speculation but that is impossible in today’s social media obsessed society.

The Palace have made their announcement and it's now a private matter - so let's hope the slugs in the media leave it that way and do not litter their newspapers etc with gossip from 'unnamed sources'.

I’m not a huge fan of Charles , but as my King I seriously hope he fights this successfully and gets back on track soon . The media circus will be huge as you’d expect and In even worse news for Charles, Nicholas Witchel is back on air in full sycophant mode .

Nicholas Witchel truly is the world king of sycophants. His output is near vomit-inducing. Charles really did speak for the whole nation when he said - I can't bear that man. I mean, he is so awful, he really is.

Not at all beddie, I think the point of Charles being so open about this and the prostate op is to raise awareness and highlight that so many people including a king can be affected by it. So tell your story on here, that old adage that by doing so you might just help one person face up and see doctor about their symptoms!

Took my mate to the 1st Barry Kirby day at the Turf ,and he was diagnosed with prostate cancer ,he was operated on but didn’t manage to have it all removed ,but no chemo required, but as to take some sort of hormone therapy ,only downside is that he used to be one of the stiff upper lip brigade now if he watches something emotional he bursts into tears ,that’s 5 yrs ago ,75 and as fit as a fiddle ,wife diagnosed with colon rectal cancer the same month ,operated all removed ,had to have a stoma ,which means everything goes into a bag ,( not very pleasant for her ) but 5 yrs on she’s as fit as a fiddle ,keep your chin up I don’t know where you live ,but the East Lancs NHS have been absolutely brilliant for both of them ,but even after all that i still get wound up about those damn Clarets ATB Thall bi reight .

If they found a papilloma in his bladder and histology shows it is malignant the outlook should be good
Given they were in his bladder for the TURP that would be the more likely unless he had scans from head to toe
All the best with your problem Beddie

My only thought on this from a negative side is, if it was something simple that was an incedental finding and easily dealt with, they would have said.

Hopefully a good prognosis but potentially more serious than expected.

I'm amazed it's such a sensitive subject with some people. Yes he's got cancer & it's the right thing to do (I think) to wish him well. I only mentioned yesterday nobody really knows what kind of cancer he's got & I got accused of not leaving him alone.

It's the constant speculation that hacks people off, though, isn't it?
By all means wish the bloke well but why do people always have to go further. Why not move on?
Is it anything to do with us which cancer he's suffering from?

It's a public forum knowing or not knowing will not detrimentally influence any outcome it makes no odds & merely stating the uncertainty shouldn't be construed as meddling. It's not interfering it's natural to be curious.
