I will say this. Recruitment might be difficult in January, but already the 3 we signed look far better than some we spent an entire summer chasing and recruiting!bumba wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:19 pmRecruitment is difficult in January, doubt the club wanted to be tied down searching for new keepers as well.
Maybe Muric has better offers in the summer truth is none of us know. What we do all know is that he isn't happy and will be leaving if things haven't changed

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
So it isn’t the case that ‘we do all know he isn’t happy’? Just that your interpretation of his body language says he isn’t, specifically to you?
The same as some other posters suggested that ‘his teammates must hate him’?
If you repeat it enough times people will think it’s true, bumba. Hence creating the illusion of truth I’ve referred to previously.

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
I wasn't referring specifically to that incident. I think he got that one wrong.1fatclaret wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:35 amI’ve only got as far as this post before I had to reply. It implies that the first goal was partly down to the defender for not challenging for the ball? Listen to the goal on the sky highlights, you can clearly hear him shouting ‘keeper’s before clattering into his own defender and crumpling into a heap.
100% goalkeeper error. If you shout for it, it’s yours. No excuses, no looking at anyone else. You come and claim that ball.
Free headers have been a regular occurence against us this season, by no means all Trafford's fault.
Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
No he isn't happy, I know for a fact he isn't happy but we'll leave it there.Darthlaw wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:44 pmSo it isn’t the case that ‘we do all know he isn’t happy’? Just that your interpretation of his body language says he isn’t, specifically to you?

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
Still a far better player than Trafford. He only played once because Dyche or one of his team fell out with him and took the crème puff
We got our money back though.

Muric looked miserable most weeks last season when we were walking the league.
This “international” keeper description is another thing blown out of proportion. It’s Kosova - hardly world power houses in football.
Muric gets better every week he doesn’t play (that might be our cunning plan)

Think they are both not good enough for PL but probably fine for championship.
We’ve been spoilt for the last 10 years under Dyche with 2 of the best keepers in our history.

Good point Kilson. Whilst I think bumba was being more specific about Muric’s lack of gametime it could be purely as a result of their overall squad being upset at the way results have panned out.

Yeah I'd be amazed if there hasn't been some big dressing room bust ups this season with how it is going. I've been in enough of them and that's only at amateur level, so I imagine it is a whole lot more tense when it is your full time job.

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
Hopefully once this era is over, we don't see the same toxic online abuse for another player playing for the team we all supposedly support.
For those not abusing James Trafford, It's not about defending his performances, it's about him not being unfairly and horrifically targeted everytime we concede a goal. Those who don't cross the line with their criticism aren't consistent with their criticism for other players poor decision making or overall performance and then there are those who appear to find glee in abusing one of our players no matter what and unfortunately the latter group appears to be growing now that after the Liverpool game there has been a genuine mistake that they can be used to justify their behaviour (at least in their minds).
I wish more had the self control expected of their middle age life experience not to let their hatred take them across the line but it appears not to be the case for some.

Nowhere near as pathetic as having 3 wins in 24 and sticking with players that have done nothing in a Claret shirt to justify their continued inclusion.
It'd be fair enough if we were on say 19ish points but we aren't, we're massively underperforming.

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
We've all criticised at least one player's performance this year given how bad the season has gone. It's just that most of us are grown up enough not to be so toxic-level abusive about one player and blaming them for everything like some have.
It's really not hard to understand that we aren't talking about those being critical but those who have crossed the line to abusing one of our own players that people have an issue with.

It's going to get more and more toxic though if we persist in playing Trafford, that isn't his fault that is VK who needs to see he's going to destroy this guy if he keeps putting him in the firing line, for his own sake now he needs a rest.
Some posters also need to stop with the any post with Trafford in is an agenda or abuse because it isn't. It's blatantly obvious he isn't ready for this standard of football regardless of whatever club he's playing for, we'd have a thread laughing about this situation if Luton or Sheffield United had spent £19 million on him

Re: TRAFFORD (AGAIN)
How many times do we have to say it... criticising a player isn't being called out as abuse. There is criticism and it's fair game, but with Trafford there is genuine abuse. No one is defending his mistakes or performance (although i genuinely think this weekend was his first major mistake this season (although he has made minor mistakes in other games) and yes i know i am in the minority) but people are having to defend him from abuse nowadays sadly.bumba wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:19 amI don't read every post maybe there has been some abuse by posters along the way when they are frustrated but most things I've read are just people stating the obvious about his performances.

I’m amazed at VK’s stubbornness I thought Dyche was bad but this is next level.
Just in case you missed it he blamed Estev or Assignon for (he said a January signing missed the cross or something like that) the first goal mistake in his post match presser so he’s also started making excuses for him as well.
