Poor. A litany of soft home decisions, none of which will show up on his report.

As usual really poor.
I watched on tv so can’t score but the commentators stated at one time “4 yellow cards and not a bad foul in the game” sums the appalling state of match officials. Then throw in the standard VAR match fixing on top!

Was good for 30 mins then started to get worried Liverpool could actually lose on his watch. The rest is history. The McAllister non foul was a pivotal decision in the game and OSheas early yellow was hilarious

After a few minutes the ball went out of play forca throw in on our left wing position. Both sides claimed their throw and two players got different balls to take a throw.
The throw was awarded to us and the Liverpool player dropped the other ball on the pitch to stop us throwing quickly. Nothing happened.
A few minutes later O shea was booked for similar.

Re: RATE THE REF - Tim Robinson v Liverpool
Don't base a referee's performance on one decision and, in any case, I'd not seen it again when I did my ratings. Nothing's changed anyway, I thought he had a fair and excellent game and if anyone should be picking up that foul it's Attwell on VAR.

From my memory, O'Shea left the referee with no alternative.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 9:42 pmAfter a few minutes the ball went out of play forca throw in on our left wing position. Both sides claimed their throw and two players got different balls to take a throw.

Re: RATE THE REF - Tim Robinson v Liverpool
Maybe but I think that's part of the issue with VAR. It's easy for the ref to shirk their responsibility and think VAR will pick it up, which then doesn't happen because of the 'clear and obvious rule'.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:36 amDon't base a referee's performance on one decision and, in any case, I'd not seen it again when I did my ratings.
