Re: Next 10 games
Since the change to a more pragmatic approach at Arsenal in November, we have played thirteen games.
Played 13 (6 Home & 7 Away)
Won 2
Drawn 3
Lost 8
Scored 17
Conceded 23
Points 9
We have scored in ten of those thirteen games but conceded in twelve of them.
We have to start looking like keeping clean sheets and certainly cut out the soft goals.
Muric/Trafford is one discussion but the return of Taylor and Foster would give us a big boost.
The home form has to be brilliant till the end of the season, but really this needed to start against Luton. Two wins from the Luton and Fulham games would now have left us on the edge of safety, a massive kick in the nuts but it does show what a couple of wins can do for us.

We’ve won 3 games in the whole season so far. I go into every game watching us struggling to believe it’s winnable.

Luton and Fulham were also winnable and we've seen how that ended.

Re: Next 10 games
To have the slightest chance, we're going to have to perform a huge about-turn in form and win a string of games, plus a couple of teams from the pack above us are going to have to have an horrendous prolonged losing run.
Those two factors coming together are pretty unlikely, to put it kindly.

Re: Next 10 games
Reckon we win 3-4 of those with our new signings in and up to speed. 25-28 point finish.

Brentford, Palace, Sheff Utd, Wolves, Everton, Brighton.
3 from there. 4 possible if VAR ‘evens itself out over the season’.

Every game is winnable but we just aren't good enough or tough enough as the previous 17 defeats show.

Re: Next 10 games
Once the Arsenal game is out of the way, we’ve probably got as “easy” a run in as anyone else in the bottom 6-7.
It’s too far gone though unfortunately. You’d be looking at 7-8 wins from the final 13 games. It’s beyond us.

Our season starts after the Arsenal game.

Aren’t Forest likely to get a points deduction? Wouldn’t need that many wins if so.agreenwood wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 7:03 pmOnce the Arsenal game is out of the way, we’ve probably got as “easy” a run in as anyone else in the bottom 6-7.

I thought we might get relegated this season and bounce back next season.
All these negative anti BFC posters like to keep telling us how shite we are but are then whining when we’re not winning at Anfield/Etihad.

You did the exact same thing in our last stint haha
Re: Next 10 games
This time next week, we'll be sat on 13 points after 25 games, with 13 games to go.
The maximum number of points I can see us getting is around the 20 mark.

Shall we have a friendly bet for charity - say £20 sponsoring jdrobbo for the London Marathon?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 7:28 pmNo chance we get anything from Brentford, Wolves, Everton or Brighton
Re: Next 10 games
Never heard of a supposed BFC fan so happy to revel in our defeats, like a tramp on chips when we lose. Probably throwing parties when Burnley lose.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 7:32 pmYou did the exact same thing in our last stint haha
Re: Next 10 games
Im not sure they are miles better. For a start we drew at Brighton. Could have won at Wolves if Jay had scored his chance before they scored theirs. Plus my point is we’ve improved a fair bit in some pretty key areas with the new signings.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 7:31 pmYep,

After Newclaret bottled his lost bet last time I’m ok thanks.
As I know exactly what will happen, you won’t come through when I win but if I lose il be bullied by multiple posters to go through with

I'm not Newclaret. By linking it to jdrobbo's sponsorship, it would be particularly sensitive if the loser didn't pay the cash.

Re: Next 10 games
Personally can’t see it.
I honestly don’t think we have improved as much as some make out.
We are conceding less but knowhere near as few as we need to be competitive.
3-4 wins from the remaining games is looking very unlikely

I suspect there's some projection going on after the years and years he spent being the most negative poster on this message board. He knows all about being happy when Burnley lose.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 7:38 pmAgain I literally haven’t commented on the loss today.
I don’t know how you can confuse pure anger and frustration to being happy.

Re: Next 10 games
I know I just went back to the “Sack Dyche” thread from Feb 6th 2022 when Burnley were outside the relegation zone on 23 points.
It’s hilarious how he is sitting on here preaching now when we are way worse off and producing worse football to watch.
Re: Next 10 games
I wasn’t whining 2 games into Dyches first ever PL season tho, was I?
Not sure how you can compare the two, Dyche was here for 10 years and it got incredibly stale at the end (I actually gave Dyche a pass from criticism at the time and blamed it solely on Garlick tying his hands)
VK and this team are absolute babies in comparison. If VK does not get us near promotion next year then questions will need to be asked.
We wouldn’t even be in this league if Kompany didn’t pull out pure magic last season, he remained loyal in the summer, we owe him a real shot at getting it right eventually.
Re: Next 10 games
You were also jizzing your pants when Burnley lost under Dyche too. Not only that but you were even whinging last season, imagine that, whinging during a 100+ point season.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 8:07 pmI know I just went back to the “Sack Dyche” thread from Feb 6th 2022 when Burnley were outside the relegation zone on 23 points.

I’m not the one here preaching to other posters.
You posted some horrific stuff back then.
The definition of hypocrite
Re: Next 10 games
I've no idea when you started moaning under Dyche, but I do know that it got so bad (and you yourself have admitted to this before) that you're only still able to post on this message board because of a connection between your Grandad and CT.KRBFC wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2024 8:13 pmI wasn’t whining 2 games into Dyches first ever PL season tho, was I?

Effectively, you're saying that it's justifiable to moan about things that KRBFC doesn't like, but it's very bad to moan about things that KRBRC does like.
It would be nice if the world worked like that, but it doesn't, so you've got to have self-awareness.
