Re: Palace/Chelsea
Chelsea look dreadful. Billion pound squad and no shots on target.
Re: Palace/Chelsea
I can't work Chelsea out this season, watched them @ villa in the cup & they were brilliant. Polar opposite tonight, absolutely awful so far.
Re: Palace/Chelsea
When they face an organised team that sits deep they struggle. They struggled 1st half against us and got a very fortunate equaliser on the stroke of half time. On the other hand Villa’s high line and they enjoy it.
Re: Palace/Chelsea
Can’t see Poch lasting long playing like this. They’re a team of talented individuals that just don’t gel at the moment.

Yet more proof, should more proof be needed, that it's not how much you have to spend, its how you spend it.
(Including recruitment of the manager. )

Re: Palace/Chelsea
They have some talented guys but Gusto & Disasi are nowhere near at the moment, could be first season settling in.
Thiagos best days are behind him and Caicedo was never worth £100m. They are desperate for Drogbas successor but they don’t fall from trees.

Re: Palace/Chelsea
I heard it said somewhere, talksport possibly, that they can't sack Poch
because they would have to pay him out and the cost would take them into
the realms of breaching ffp regs.
If true, what a state to get into.
Makes me smirk anyway.

Me neither, but it's what some are hanging their hats on....
Re: Palace/Chelsea
Roys last game?
Re: Palace/Chelsea
Hodgson should have just enjoyed his retirement. Not sure why he's putting himself through the aggro at 75.

Hes a smart and inquisitive chap by all accounts. I can imagine he gets absolutely bored stiff when he hasnt got a job.
Its a shame really that he's basically getting forced into retirement because of his age. His age gets mentioned in basically every interview, it's quite cruel.

Re: Palace/Chelsea
Yeah. Squeak out a little 3-2 win against the Gooners this weekend, and who knows what will happen?

Re: Palace/Chelsea
He probably doesn't want to bow out on a bum note this way if he manages to keep them up he goes out on a high. Tough 1 for parish he only agreed to stop on to help them out as a kind of favour.
Re: Palace/Chelsea
He stepped in last season and kept them up. Could have walked away a hero then. Was a backwards step by Palace to give him the job but Hodgson should have had the sense to leave on a high and enjoy his retirement.

Re: Palace/Chelsea
I agree with you it went to far but because he's now committed to the cause in his mind he has to see the job through whether parish is aligned with that remains to be seen. Something has to change sooner or later because them 5 points can quickly evaporate if they aren't careful.
Re: Palace/Chelsea
Looks like Palace want McKenna from Ipswich. Will probably have to wait till summer though. Think they'll trust Hodgson to just do enough to keep them up, which he probably will.
